Their plans were ruined once they were sent into the battles. Well, Rosa was sent into the battles. Anna was working as her eyes from the sky. They were the best team, ever made. Rosa as the best shooter and sniper and Anna as her ears and eyes. But the last war...Last war separated them. Anna was hacked, she couldn't watch over Rosa, so Rosa got shot in the abdomen and disappeared from the radar. She was kidnapped by whoever shot her, but no one could find her. When she woke up, she heard ringing in her ears and her vision was very blurry. But she could hear the steps too. She tried to defend herself from the blurry person approaching her, but she was tied up. Soon she felt a needle under her skin and she passed out once more.
I have to protect...Anna...
The thought was echoing through the darkness. When suddenly, everything came back to her. All her memories about John and Sherlock, about her kidnapping and torture. Everything was back. And the pain was bone-breaking. Rosa was pretty sure she was screaming, as her throat felt sore once she woke up.
-Well, well, well...Look who's ready for the show!
A female voice said and Rosa could finally make her eyes focus. But for nothing. There was no one in the room, well, no one who could be the source of the voice. There were however, three people standing in the room, tied up to the poles with their heads bloody and their mouth shut with black duct tape. Next to the chair Rosa was sitting on was a table, a gun was on it and one bullet was waiting. Rosa saw the camera in the corner of the room, recording her every move. There was a speaker next to it, that's where the female voice came from.
-Little Rosa is finally awake...Well, not so little anymore, is she? Twenty one and already so mature!
-What do you want from me?
Rosa asked calmly. For the three years she spent in the army, she learned not to anger her "kidnappers".
-Oh just to play a game! A fun one for sure! You see, there are three people watching you right now, well, four if you include me. So why wouldn't we give them a show to watch?
The female sounded excited, demented and familiar. Rosa knew that voice from somewhere.
-I suppose you want me to shoot one of these three?
The people tied up to the poles started grunting, moving, trying to say something, probably beg for their lives or escape. Rosa couldn't care. She will play the game and leave. She needs to go back to Anna. She needs to protect her girlfriend. By any cost.
-Well, that would be the basics of it...
The voice continued talking, saying something about the people, but Rosa completely shut it off, took the gun, put the bullet in and shot at the person in the middle, catching the voice on the speaker off guard. There was a complete silence in the room for a minute, before the voice spoke.
-That went south for poor Jeremy. Oh, well...
The door behind the people opened and Rosa walked out into the another room. This room was the same as the last one, so Rosa took the bullet and shot the random person without a single thought. She went into the next room. And then next one, and next one. And it went on and on. Rosa lost the count. But the people, she knew were the same. Every fifth room had the same people Rosa already saw, until she reached the room where there was nothing, but a single bullet on the floor. She put it in the gun and waited. And waited and waited, until the exit finally opened, but instead of Rosa coming out, a person came in.
-Anna? Are you okay?
Rosa rushed to check up on her girlfriend, searching for the wounds or bruises. But Anna was fine, just shaking and crying with a gun in her hand.
-Hey, it's okay...It's okay...You are fine now. I'm here.
-I had to kill them...
-I know. I know. I did too.
Anna looked up at Rosa, tears turning into rivers going down her cheeks.
-How did you come here so fast?
-I didn't listen to the voice. I just shot people. It is my job anyways.
-Oh...I guess that smarter than listening to all the stories...Getting attached and conflicted if they had kids or not, if they were young or old...
-You had to kill them all anyways.
-Yeah...
Anna held onto her girlfriend's uniform like for life, while Rosa kissed her girlfriend's top on the head. It would have been heartwarming if Rosa was unaware of what will have to happen next.
-Only one of us can leave...
-What?!
Anna stepped back, fear showing off all over her face.
-When I entered the room I found a bullet. That bullet is for one of us.
Rosa slowly raised her gun and placed it under her chin.
-NO! ROSA DON'T!
-I swore to keep you safe, love. I swore.
-ROSA SHUT UP AND PUT THE GUN DOWN!
But when Anna went to grab the gun, it already fired and Rosa fell on the ground. Anna fell too, tears overflowing her face. She couldn't even look at Rosa. She heard the door opening and people slowly coming in. Her head snapped up to look at them, but none of them were female, but all of them rushed to Rosa. One of them seemed to be a doctor, one of them was doctor's suppose judging by the rings on their fingers and the last one just had an umbrella.
-She's alive! Call the ambulance, Mycroft!
The guy with the umbrella rushed outside, already talking to someone. Anna approached her girlfriend. There was a rather small hole on her chin, bleeding more than it seems it could. Rosa's eyes were slightly opened, her body was shaking, slowly shutting down.
-You bloody idiot, what have you done?!
Anna yelled as she gently rubbed Rosa's cheekbones. Something like a smile appeared on Rosa's face, but pain quickly returned.
-Don't you die on me, Rosa, don't you dare die on me!
But Rosa was loosing blood too quickly. Her eyes closed and her body stopped shaking by the time the ambulance came. Her heart beats were extremely low and she lost 1/4 of her blood. It seemed like an eternity in darkness before she heard someone's voice again.
-...please...Just one more miracle, Rosa...Don't be dead...
