Elijah's Pov
It was suppose to be just a simple task. A simple task that just seemed to be harder than it looked. I looked around the lunchroom very confused. I was suppose to meet Hye-Yeong here, and help him with some college prep homework he had received in class. For many months, I had been here.I really enjoyed helping him. He was a really good kid and would make his family very proud when he went to college. When I first arrived here in Seoul, I wasn't expecting that everyone here to be upset with one little app that could cause so much trouble.
I wasn't expecting from my visit today was to see a whole bunch of loud chatting students watching two other students who were shouting at one another.
In the middle of the lunchroom, this boy was in tears while the girl was being cold but you could tell she really didn't mean what she was saying at all.
I sighed quietly shaking my head. Kids I thought chewing at my lower lip, I slowly sneaked out the lunchroom, heading outside before anyone else did.
I followed the path I remembered Hye-Yeong always took during lunch to avoid people.
He reminded me a lot of myself when I was a senior. I folded my arms across my chest chewing deeply at my lip letting the cold leather cling to me like a second skin.
My phone was shoved deep into the pockets of my skinny jeans and I slowly watched as it took a few minutes before I watched Hye-Yeong storm out the lunchroom following after the boy who was in angry tears.
"Sun-Oh yah stop it!" He yelled at him.
"Let me go! My mom must have said something to her, it makes no sense!" The other boy yelled back out roughly yanking his arm free from Hye-Yeong.
"That maybe but it isn't gonna fix it. " Hye-Yeong snapped. The boy who I assumed was Sun-Oh snatched his arm away storming away leaving Hye-Yeong to look defeated.
I carefully lifted myself up off the wall and I made myself over to him. I had a big feeling I knew this had to do with that silly app love alarm.
"Hye-Yeong," I called softly noticing small tears had formed under his eyes.
He quickly looked over at me quickly wiping his tears smiling at me. "Hyung what are you doing here?" He asked me. I chuckled giving him a small hug.
"Remember I was suppose to help you, but I see other things are going on love alarm?" I questioned watching him breathe out a rough sigh before slowly nodding.
I briefly lifted my head up to pull the bed of curls away and patted his shoulders gently. "I don't know how to help them Elijah am I a bad friend?" He asked me his voice slowly cracking.
My eyes soften noticing the tears and I pulled him closer to me by my side, hugging him gently starting to walk holding him.
"Of course not, you're an amazing friend okay, don't think like that. Hyung will buy you some candy alright, then we can talk and work at the same time at your house, it's gonna be okay Hye-Yeong."

"Is that a little easier to understand?" I chuckled quietly leaning against Hye-Yeong's bed watching him lay on his stomach. All his homework was done and finished. He looked more relaxed and it seemed better that he got everything off his chest.
"Much better." He muffled out stuffing some chips in his mouth making me chuckle playing with the pen I gripped onto twirling it around. "Is college really this hard? " He asked it looked like he wanted to whine so badly.
"It depends on your courses, I mainly am taking business classes to run a business out here, so it involves more math and technical methods," I explained chuckling lightly. I was nineteen and it sounded complicated.
"Sounds complicated." He laughed out rolling over so he was on his back chuckling. "You have no idea." I breathed out shifting a bit.
I grabbed his homework for a second to scan my eyes to make sure it all looked alright and okay, muttering to myself briefly I saw Hye-Yeong sitting up crisscross lightly playing with my hair making me relax.
I heard the loud creak of the bedroom door opening, and I slowly flicked my eyes up to the boy from earlier Sun-Oh slightly a little calmer, dressed in some causal sleep clothes.
"Hye-Yeong." He called out looking at him but slowly he looked a little shy and confused noticing me.
"Sorry Sun-Oh this is Elijah he is a really good friend of mine, he is in college and helps me with my homework." He explained to him softly. I handed it back over to Hye-Yeong watching as Sun-Oh stepped in more.
He gave me a soft kind smile that made its way across his lips, but you could still see the pain in his eyes from earlier as he sat down next to me.
I heard the softest English filling my ears quietly. "It's nice to meet you, Elijah." He told me bowing his head a little at me gently making me smile again and slowly bow my head back at him.
"It's nice to meet you Sun-Oh."
