Pathetic. i thought, Just plain idiocy.
Why would Rory leave his door open like that?
I sighed and stomped all the way towards Rory's room. His door was wide open.
"Rory!" I called out. No one replied. "Are you really that stupid, Rory?"
I slipped inside the room, furious and fuming mad. I opened his sock drawer and pulled out the CCTV video footage from the pool. I needed to keep it safe, and he is obviously a bad keeper.
Rory appeared on the doorway, his hair in a dishriveled mess. He had a towel draping from his neck and a basket ball tucked under his left arm.
"Do you mind?" He asked irritably." You can't just barge in my room like this, Mercifer. Waddayoudoin?"
In reply, I held up the CD.
"Okay. Why do you want it back now?" He raises an eyebrow.
"You're a lousy keeper." I answered, darting past him.
"Wait.. How'd you get in?"
"You left your room unlocked stupid! What if.." I lowered my voice." What if someone finds this? We'd both be dead."
Rory shakes his head in confusion."But...I.. Didn't leave my door unlocked.."
I registered his words too soon."Shit."
"Shit." He repeated. Dropping the ball to the ground.
We both scrambled inside his room and slammed the door shut.
"Where the hell did you hide the freaking copy of the camp video?" I asked.
He answered, "Under my bathroom sink."
Rory was paralyzed. He was practically hyperventilating as I ran towards the Axe scented bathroom. I groped the tile under his sink, detached it easily and groped that familiar little package that was held under the sink by duct tape.
"Rory! It's not here!" I tore the package from the sink. It was hollow. "Rory!"
"It's not here!" I cried out in outrage.
Rory slowly walked beside me and stared at the teared up package with utter shock.
"The hell." I croaked, burying my face to my hands." This cannot be happening. How can someone break in here like that?"
"I was out for thirty minutes." He said, leaning on the doorframe. He was turning pale. "Thirty minutes, Merci."
All hope was lost. If someone has that. Then me and Rory could end up...
Dead.
"I never should've left it there. At least we still have the pool video. That could be way worse." He mumbled.
I nodded. My eyes watering up.
No! Mercicus Love does not cry.
Then, A lightbulb lit up in my head. "Rory."
"Yeah?"
"I have a camera installed outside my room." I said.
"So?"
I walked past him."No one can go to your room without passing through mine."
I was praying and hoping that my camera would put an end to this torment. Rory trailed behind me.
Outside his door, I stepped on something.
A bracelet.
"Is that..?" He stammered.
I picked up the bracelet I had once woven myself.
My hand let go of the handmade bracelet with a lettering that says BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE WORLD.
I felt dirty all of a sudden." I gave this to Kylie...to give to Scott."
