Thunder suited up for the mission that was up coming in a few hours. He shrugged on his black jacket and secured it well.

He moved his head left and right, as if to hopefully hear a crack from it. His hand fumbled in his brown hair as he went to take his black warmer.

He went to put it on his hand, but he stopped and just stared at his hand. He traced what looked like blackish markings on his hand.

When he reached the end of his palm, he flinched and hissed in pain. But that was just for a second.

" Thunder! We're ready to go! " Thunder heard Quake call from downstairs. Thunder acknowledged it, but didn't answer.

He took another glance at his hand, and stared at it uncertainly before putting on red fingerless gloves and the black warmer on.

He tightened the warmers and took hold of his black cape with red linings. Securing the cape with a metal shoulder guard, he grabbed his sword and opened the door.

" I'm coming, " he said to his two friends. He walked down the stairs and saw Quake and Cyclone getting ready to leave.

" Hey, Thunder. You got everything ready? " Quake asked as he put some lunch into a satchel.

" Yes, " Thunder bluntly said. He walked over to the couches, where Cyclone was seated. Cyclone smiled warmly at him.

" Are you excited for the mission? It might be one of the most dangerous ones we've had! " Cyclone said enthusiastically.

Thunder nodded as he rested his sword on his shoulder. " I'm interested in what brings forth to us on this mission, " he said.

Cyclone nodded with a smile and jumped to his feet. " Well! Let's get going! Leaf and Solar told us to meet them at their blacksmith shop. Let's go! " he said.

Quake walked to Thunder's side as the two watched Cyclone burst open the door with an excited kick. Quake giggled while Thunder sighed.

Quake looked at Thunder with his shiny motherly eyes. " Ready to go? " he asked the ruby-eyed boy.

Thunder took a small glance at his hand, but took it to no mind and looked at Quake. He nodded in response to his question.

Quake smiled fondly. " Let's go then. After you, " he said.

Thunder gave him a nod of thanks and proceeded to the door. Quake locked the door up and the three of them headed out to the city to meet their friends.

..........

The others were waiting on their three friends at the blacksmith shop. Fang, who wore his signature color purple, was getting a tad impatient.

He groaned. " Where are they?! " he exclaimed.

" Oh, give it a rest, Fang. There's more than one hour before Master Kaizo wants to us, " Yaya said, passing GOOD cookies around.

Fang let out a 'tsk'. " Wouldn't hurt to be punctual, now ain't it? " he shot back.

" Honestly, Fang. You act so rebellious around us. But when Thunder, Cyclone and Quake are here, you're suddenly like a good puppy! What's your deal? " Ying said, munching on a cookie Yaya gave her.
