The Seven Boys with No Last Name gathered in a circle with their master. The room they were in felt like it was closing in on them, getting darker and darker every minute.
Getting in formation, they linked hands. They almost couldn't think with the dark winter magic surrounding them, it was as if it was eating at their skins and bones. Thunder let out a puff of breath as he sighed, shivering as he did. " W-We must hurry.... We don't have much time.. "
His brothers and master nodded to him. They took deep breaths before they closed their eyes. Solar started the chant, his being glowing with his color of magic energy. Leaf didn't hesitate to follow up, saying the chant and glowing his own color with him.
Their master and their brothers joined in on the chanting, all of their colorful magic energy merging together. They had their eyes closed at first, but at the last syllable of the chant, their eyes opened like machines, and as if on cue, their magic joined together at the middle of the circle and everything went white.
As the white disappeared, the magic over their eyes disappeared along with it. They were relieved to see that the room was a lighter and brighter color now, the temperature was at least above zero.
Leaf ran to the window and a soft smile appeared on his face when he saw that the village was back to normal. " It worked, " he sighed, hoping to ease the shaking tone of his voice.
" We need to check on the King and Queen, and the other invitees as well, " Quake told them. They had a little moment of realization and immediately agreed. They gave themselves another minute to breath before they were actually ready to head out.
.............
The King and Queen were coincidentally with the rest of the invitees in the main dining hall. It wasn't hard to seek them out due to their advantage of the magic world.
Unlike mages such as themselves, people without magic energy react differently to dark magic. Once the magic washed through them, they will be in a state of petrifaction until the magic is removed, and they will be aware of what had happened. So, the brothers and master weren't surprised when they asked.
" Latorai was washed over by a wave of dark winter magic. We were able to purify it in time before it got any worse, " Thunder calmly explained. The King and Queen seemed to be in shock, for they let their kingdom be attacked with any protection.
The invitees, however, were confused at the sudden attack since Latorai wasn't the village attackers would usually go for for terrorizing. This was when the brothers had no choice but to tell everything to them, they tried to shorten the story as much as they could, sparing them the day's worth of storytelling.
Their reactions were just as they had expected. Cyclone sighed. " We need to act fast. We must locate Retak'ka and get the last ingredient before it is too late, " he held Thunder's hand for a moment.
One of the invitees, Archer held his head up, his face clouded with worry and concern. " What must we do to help? " he asked them, keeping his intention to treat them as his superiors. The brothers turned to him, a hint of sadness in their eyes.
" With much appreciation, but we will take it from here. We thank you for your support, " Thunder declared on their behalf, bowing to further show his gratitude. Everyone on the other end of the room were dumbstruck.
