Chapter 18: Agreement
"MIKO!" cried out the Autobots and the humans. As they watched her burn in the scorching flames. Everyone was horrified when the fireball Ripclaw shot at her hit Miko that Bulkhead turned to the Predacon who burned her to ashes and started to curse at him.
"Why you no good piece of..." Bulkhead said before Predaking attacked Ripclaw as he pinned him down to the ground, hard.
Predaking growled at Ripclaw in disgust before they both transformed into their robotic forms. Predaking snarled before shouting loudly, "YOU IDIOT! LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!"
"She deserved it!" retorted Ripclaw under his king's metallic foot.
Predaking narrowed his optics at him as he replied, "She didn't deserve to be put to death! What were you thinking?!"
Ripclaw narrowed his optics at him and retorted angrily, "You said that if we were to be insulted by another individual, then we have the right to challenge them to a duel!"
Predaking snarled before replying, "That wasn't even a challenge! She didn't agree to any sort of challenge. It was your hot temper that took action and killed her without logically thinking of anything but getting back at her!"
"Hesh, you two bicker like father and son," said a familiar voice.
Everyone turned around to see Miko patting off a few flames on her suit, unharmed.
"Miko... you're... you're" said Jack before he was cut off by the teenage girl.
"Alive? Heck yeah! You can't get rid of me that easily" she replied before Bulkhead scooped her up in his servo.
He narrowed his optics at her and said, "I am very disappointed in you for not obeying to stay on the ship with Ratchet and the others, young lady!" Miko's eyes looked down at her feet. "Miko," Bulkhead said while Miko looked up at him. "Don't you DARE scare me like that again!" he exclaimed with concern for his human friend that he had bonded with over the past few months.
"Don't worry, Bulk, I won't do it again" Miko said before Bulkhead put her down where the other humans were.
As Predaking and Ripclaw were arguing amongst themselves about the incident away from their guests, the two humans began to question Miko at how she'd survive an attack like that.
"Miko, did you use some kind of magic to protect yourself?" questioned Raf as he looked at her to see if she had any kind of scorch marks on her suit.
"No, I don't know any fire protection spells that would protect me from the fire. Why?" she replied curiously at Raf.
"Because there was no way that you could have survived from that fire without a scratch on you!" Raf exclaimed.
Miko looked at him confusedly and asked, "Ugh, Aren't these suits suppose to withstand extreme temperatures?"
"Yeah, but only from -156 to 121 ℃" replied the nerd.
"Huh?" Miko said even more confused then ever.
"What he means is that the suit can survive temperatures ranging from −249 to 250 °F" Jack said to Miko.
She turned to Raf and said, "Why didn't you say so then, Raf! Also how can you tell that the fireball wasn't like 150 °F?"
"I felt the heat that the blast was radiating from a distance. Also I was checking your suit's external temperature readings which read that the fire was over 469 °F!" Raf replied.
Miko's jaw dropped at what Raf told her that she couldn't believe it. Then Bumblebee saw Miko's pocket glowing as he asked, "Miko, is your pocket glowing?"
