But you weren't screaming

It was a fairly odd mixture
Of emotions you gave me.
I cried, along with some
But you made me laugh
When the last thing
I wanted is
To laugh
I didn't mind
Because really,
You weren't meaning
To make me burst out laughing
But I did
It helped me learn how to breathe again
Because I swear to you,
And to everyone present,
Nothing, and I mean nothing
Will make me forget
The rather pleasant inconvenience
Of your laugh.
