"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, wake up! Quick! It's Christmas!" Sofie flopped on the bed next to Joe who looked at her with one eye half open.
"It's nice and cold outside. No snow though but that's ok. I made paper snowflakes and put them up. It's gonna be a white Christmas whether it wants to be or not," Sofie said proudly and quite energetically.
Joe laughed and climbed out of bed. He walked around to where Sofie was sitting in a cute little overall dress and a shirt with puffy sleeves underneath. He reached down and picked her up by the waist, spun around with her, and then gave her a nice, long kiss. "Merry Christmas my angel." Sofie giggled and blushed.
There was a loud beep from the kitchen. "I made cinnamon rolls, Daddy," Sofie said as she rushed out of the room and down the hall towards the kitchen. Joe walked slowly behind her, yawning the whole way. He was very pleased to see that fresh coffee was waiting for him and was quite content with that being his Christmas gift. He turned to face the living room and saw paper snowflakes covering the walls and windows. He chuckled to himself as he sipped his coffee and sat down to eat breakfast. As he was eating, Sofie ran towards the bedroom where she had hidden his gifts and pulled them out. She had managed to find time to wrap them one day while Joe was at work. She did quite a good job of it too, she thought. She bounded back down the hallway, gifts in hand, and placed them under the little tree that they had put up and decorated. Joe had hidden something inside Sofie's bedroom the night before and made her swear not to go in there. Now it was his turn to bring out the gifts.
He went into her room and a couple minutes later came out holding a small square box and a bouquet of a dozen pink star gazer lilies, Sofie's favorite flower.
"Daddy, I love them! They're so beautiful." She ran over and gave him a big hug and a kiss.
"There's more to your gift, silly," Joe chuckled.
"Ok Daddy, but I want you to open your gifts first. I'm excited."
Joe agreed and walked over to the couch and sat down. No sooner was he seated then Sofie handed him his first gift. Sofie had actually numbered the gifts so she could give them to him in a certain order: first was the wood, then the beginners tool set, and finally the mini machines.
Joe unwrapped the first gift to find a pile of small wood logs. "Awwww, you got me wood. You shouldn't have." Sofie giggled, "There's more, Daddy." She handed him the second gift and waited eagerly. Joe tore the wrapping off and saw what was underneath. He was stunned. It was perfect. He skimmed over the packaging to see what all was inside and his excitement grew more and more.
"Thank you baby girl. It's absolutely perfect!"
Sofie giggled and twirled in place. "There's still more, Daddy." She handed him the last package.
Joe couldn't imagine a better gift, so he determined to act as happy as he possibly could. He knew he'd still love this gift whatever it was, but he had a shiny new toy to play with and he was excited. He pulled back the paper on the third gift and burst out laughing. Sofie looked at him confused.
"I couldn't think of any way you could possibly top what you had already given me, but you found a way. Oh pumpkin, I love it all. You're amazing. Thank you so much."
Sofie blushed as Joe gave her a big kiss and a hug. She was giggly now because she knew he loved his gifts.
"I guess it's time for your gift, little one," said Joe. "Let me go get dressed. I don't want to do this in my pajamas." He went back down the hallway and into the bedroom. Sofie was confused. They were just exchanging their gifts to each other. It wasn't anything formal. Sofie was even more shocked when Joe came out of the bedroom wearing a new suit. It had black pants, a black button up vest, and a white dress shirt underneath. Sofie was drooling but still confused as to why he was all dressed up. On his way back, he stopped in Sofie's room again and came out with two more vases filled with pink lilies. Suddenly Sofie remembered what Joe had said a few weeks ago. That he was being sneaky for her gift. What kind of gift would require that much sneakiness and three bouquets of lilies, she pondered.
Joe positioned the lilies next to the tree and called Sofie over. He picked up the little square box. Sofie's mind was racing. What could this be? It was roughly the size of a DVD but surely he wouldn't go through all this for a movie. He handed it to her and stood there waiting. Sofie nervously pulled back the paper. It was a black velvet box, very similar to the ones used for jewelry. Was that it? He bought me some kind of jewelry, she wondered. Even for jewelry she felt like this was a bit much but she appreciated the thought. Sofie opened it up and saw a beautiful three strand, what looked like diamond, necklace which met in the back with a silver- Sofie gasped and looked at Joe who was already down on one knee.
"Sofie, my love, I'm presenting this collar to you today because you're my everything. You're kind, sweet, compassionate, and funny. You've always been there for me no matter how tough things got. This collar is a symbol. A promise to not only be my sub, my little, for as long as I live, but also as a promise to someday be my wife. Sofie, will you be mine and marry me?"
Sofie was fighting back tears of happiness.
"Yes of course I'll marry you!" Sofie exclaimed.
"Let's get this on you, shall we." Joe picked up the necklace and motioned for Sofie to turn around. Sofie did so and dropped to her knees as a sign of complete submission.
"Good girl," said Joe. He came up behind her and lowered the necklace down onto her neck then took the special three pronged lock and locked it on there. Then he walked around in front of her, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a silver chain, onto which he slipped the key.
"This key will never leave me. If at any point you decide you no longer wish to be collared, simply let me know and I will unlock it for you," Joe said slipping the chain over his head and tucking it under his shirt. He then reached down and helped Sofie up. He stood there admiring the necklace on her.
"Diamonds look good on you. I'll have to remember that."
Sofie blushed, "These are real diamonds?"
"Yep. Diamond and platinum. Oh and when you are ready, we'll go pick out your ring."
Sofie felt overwhelmed. She had worn diamond pendants before but this was three strands of diamonds and platinum. She quickly ran to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. The collar shone brilliantly. This is what Joe had been planning. It was definitely worth the wait, for this was the happiest she'd ever been.
