1.

So far, university had taught Jordan three things:

1. Dorm security was laughable, 'losing' his key in the first week and getting a replacement had enabled his best friend, Sam, easy access to his dorm and they were living it up.

2. Nine am seminars and lectures were the very worst kind of torture and, since he was studying Civil Engineering, he had far too many of them.

3. Fraternities were exactly what his orientation leader had promised and, if he ever got tired of engineering, he knew had a future career in pranking.

Which was why he was at the Alpha Delta Xi house at two in the morning with Sam and a few of the other pledges, dressed in black and sneaking around. It sounded a bit shady and, to be fair, it kind of was but the security had been so laughably pathetic that it was almost like the Alphas had rolled out a welcome mat for them, practically inviting them in. After all, what kind of idiots left their frat house unguarded with the windows open at the very start of uni when pranking got officially underway?

Not Omega Delta Pi, at least.

"Hey, Sam." Jordan waved at him to get his attention, "Are you nearly done with your room?"

"Yeah, almost there. I just need to top up a few of the cups with some more water and then I'm finished. At the rate we're going, I reckon we should be out of here before the Alphas get back from the UV party. They won't suspect a thing."

Jordan, who'd finished lining up plastic cups in two bedrooms and one of the downstairs, grinned as he passed over another bucket of water. "Great, I can't wait to watch this."

One of the other pledges, Danny, who'd also been working on the ground floor, asked, "Should I start recording with the cameras in this floor, then?"

"Do it."

"Are you uploading it to youtube?" Sam asked.

"And the uni's network. I'm not a Computing student for nothing."

"Good, I want everyone to see this."

The two fraternities, Omega and Alpha, were the oldest and most prestigious at Oakland university and there was a long-standing enmity between them which went back as far as the university's founding year. It'd been pretty brutal over the years but, since hazing had been banned after some disturbing occurrences at other unis and the media backlash from that, there was nothing for new pledges to do but prank the other frats. It was a surprisingly good bonding activity, too.

Danny and Jordan stayed behind while the others carefully made their way upstairs and through the windows. They'd managed to boost Sam, who was the smallest of them, through it first and he'd let them in through the front door but the cups in front of it prevented it from opening now. Jordan had never climbed through a window before in his life but university was all about trying new things, he supposed. His mum probably wouldn't appreciate the breaking and entering, though.

"Danny, are you done?" Jordan asked, absentmindedly moving a few of the cups.

"Live and streaming to my laptop now."

"Alright, let's get going then."

Jordan had never been much of a prankster before university but he'd found that he really liked it and, somehow, he'd become one of the unofficial leaders when it came to pranking. It meant he'd been the one to come up with the plastic cup idea, though he'd really just youtubed a few things, and then he'd organised the pledges to get going. If they were following the plan, they'd all have climbed down the trees near the window, which couldn't have been better placed if they'd planted it there themselves, and returned to the Omega house.
