Mal woke up to the soon to be familiar sound of her alarm blasting one of her favorites songs. If she was waking up at five thirty am everyday why not to her favorite song?
"Morning E." Mal said sitting up in her bed.
"Morning. I'm going to go to the bathrooms and get a shower. Be back soon."
"Yeah yeah go ahead." Mal said reaching for her phone. She was still tired and didn't want to change from her grey comfortable shirt and running shorts into day to day clothes.
Mal got on Auragram and started reading and liking and admiring the new post. It was unbelievable how much people could post about their lives. One post cought her eye though. It was the Auradon Prep Daily, every one had it on their feed, if was new uniforms.
"Delivery." Mal stood and opened the door. She saw Evie already in her uniform and her hair in a bun.
"Seriously, uniforms?"
"Dress code was broken so many times. At least that's what they say. It's really just some girls who got into a fight because another were the same top as her."
"Sounds about right." Mal said
looking at the uniform. It was a plad blue and dark blue pattern with a white buttoned shirt. Then to add is a blue vest with the Auradon symbol on it's chest pocket. "Okay, these shoes are a absolute no. I have track my feet will hurt after running then putting these white darn shoes on!" She whined."I know right." Evie said then she snapped back to reality. "Do you need a shower?"
"Nope. Had one last night."
"Alright I'll do your hair when I get my done."
Mal quickly got dressed. She stood and looked in the mirror unsure about how she felt. Sure it would be organized as all things should be, but it was so bland. She saw a shiny silver bracelet on her desk. It was a charm bracelet with a dragon heart like her golden necked a gift from her mom.
"You ready?"
"Yeah one second." Mal grabbed her phone and sat in front of the vanity. Evie stood behind her and started to take out her braids. Mal started to do simple makeup.
"Its unfair!" They heard Jane say walking in. Her hair was in a simple ponytail. "We have a rule now about going to the boy dorms."
"Why? Because last year Layla and Aron were caught kissing?"
"Yeah." Lonnie said. Her hair was pulled to the back by two peices. "We are going to have the worst school year possible!"
"Ow!" Mal said when Evie pulled her hair tightly. "That hurted." She said in a baby voice.
"Sorry M, I'm finished." Her hair was down and wavy with a braided crown Mal loved.
"Its okay." Mal said putting away the lipgloss. "You all ready to go?" She asked grabbing her white school bag.
This year she was a Senior. Next year she was either Queen or a college student. College?! She needed to start looking for a college. A good one to.
