It was a warm afternoon and the sun was nicely warming up everything it touched. Underneath the warm sunrays, a young white haired girl walked hand in hand with a big blondie. Her hero!
Eri was excited to get back home and see her Guardians class again, but the thought of it also saddened her.
"When is Aizawa back from the mission?", her head hung sideways, rather low as she glanced over to a cat that was sunbathing.
Mirio had just picked her up from daycare, as he has been for the past week. The incident has been kept a secret from her as everyone would be afraid for Eri panicking. 'The mission' as they called it, was 'prohibited' from everyone, is what they have told her.
The morning after the incident, Eri slept over by Mirio as she would usually do when Aizawa would go out on late patrols.
"Mirio!", her smile seemingly decreased gravity, but the weight of her hug kept Mirio in place.
She soon released from the hug to clutch at his shoulders, "Why are you picking me up? Where's 'zawa?"
He didn't had to think on how to answer to that question since that's all he could think of the whole day ever since he heard the news, "He was given a secret mission abroad! Very important and so secret he wasn't allowed to bring his phone with him".
Eri's head lowered instantly, tears already forming around her lower eyelids and it broke Mirio's heart.
"He's really sorry, Eri!", he wiped her tears away, cupping her face gently, "He's really sorry he couldn't say goodbye directly, but he left a voice message...Go get your stuff!", his sad smile somewhat cheered her up, "I'll show it to you when we're outside."
Thanks to Shinsous Voice amplifier, he was able to help Mirio make a verbal apology so it'll be believable. When Eri heard it, tears started rolling, saying that he'll miss him too but overall very understanding.
"In the meantime, I'll take care of you, okay?"
She nodded as she wiped the escaping tears with her sleeves before she grasped after his hand.
"We don't know when he'll come home, but he promised to send letters at least once a week!"
Her hand tightened around his as she pouted, "But it's already been a week!"
"He's probably very busy!"
He recalls texting 1.A if they could fake a letter for Eri in Aizawas calligraphy each week. Obviously many of them obliged, afraid of what their teacher would do when he found out that they're faking something in his name. Mirio promised them that he'll take the blame, but Aizawa would probably understand why they had to do it.
"He probably send the letter home! Aren't you glad we're going back to 1.A?", his question was cheery, but it was met with a rather sad nod.
~
"Heya, Eri! Mirio! Nice to see you two!", Uraraka waved before they where even through the bush fence into the 1.A dorms property.
A majority of the class where out in the sun. Music was playing in the background as they were taking a break from the water war they just had. They were clearly enjoying their time before it got dark.
A small group of the teens approached both, Midoriya with a letter in hand. The letter was made by half of the class. One writing the best they could and about 3 people working on the text, each of them having a certain role. Midoriya knew that they'd be coming soon so he laid the letter in a reaching distance.
