"Well would you look at that? It looks like someone caught some feelings while she was busy whoring herself. I didn't think that was possible"

"Fuck you Nev" I tell him turning off my phone and taking the card out. It would be better if Chris doesn't try coming after me.

"Yeah, I'd like that. I was going to find someone to release all my stress on after I'd left the warehouse but since I ended up here, would you mind fucking me? You would have all the control because as you can see, I'm literally tied up"

"And I'll stick a sock in your mouth if you don't shut up" ever since I got here this idiot hasn't stopped talking. Paulo tied him up with handcuffs because he had tried to escape yesterday. I don't want to think what Chris would have done had he shown up before I left.

"How do you feel now? Do you feel better after screwing my brother and stealing from him you fucking whore?" yeah, did I mention how angry he is? 

"Show me some respect you asshole. I just saved your son and the least you can do is stop calling me names"

"Saved my son? What happened to Tommaso?"

"Padre sent men to the house to kill every living thing. Lucky for you, I managed to get him out before anyone got to him. If I were you I'd be kissing my ass"

"Is he okay? Fuck Marianna, get these things off me. I need to make sure he's okay" his wrists are red, probably from trying to get out of those handcuffs. They're the real thing, like the ones the police have and I wonder where they came from.

"I just told you that he's fine. I left him with his grandmother before coming here"

"He's not hurt anywhere, is he? They didn't touch him?"

"Not a single scratch. Now zip it" I move to sit on the chair opposite him. I need to think about my next move carefully. What do I do with the stuff I stole from De Luca and how do I use it to beat Padre.

"Thank you" Nev murmurs. I just nod because I can't tell him he's welcome. I have no plans of getting associated with him or his family again so chances are I'll never do that again.

I know by now Chris has figured everything out and he's probably somewhere sticking needles in a voodoo doll that resembles me. Okay, maybe that's a bit extreme. But I know he's angry and feels betrayed. Even though it was supposed to be one of my seduction schemes, I ended getting in bed with him and catching feelings as Nev put it. He's the only target I've ever slept with. Normally I just play games with the others pretending to be hard to get until we take what we went there for. Most of the people who work with Padre, do so because he blackmailed them into doing business with him. When he comes to you with a business proposal, you just know he's got something on you that could ruin you. It's either a yes or rot in hell.

In short he is what you call the tyrant of organized crime. I'm sure a lot of people would volunteer to help me take him down if they weren't afraid of him. I can't do this alone. I need someone with power who is neither on De Luca or Padre's side. Someone who is powerful and respected. I only know of one man who fits that description. Marco Schiavone. Just like everything else on earth, there is a hierarchy in the mafia world.

On one side is Padre who has two powerful families behind him. Luigi Marino, a real estate mogul who owns half the buildings in this country. He comes from old money which makes him almost untouchable. Then there's Clemente Russo. A billionaire and the son of the former Prime Minister. With those two behind him, Padre is kind of invisible. That doesn't mean De Luca isn't powerful too. He's got the Greco's and Moretti's by his side.
