Letting out a loud groan Y/n L/n sat in defeat not taking care or notice of the room she just sat in front of. She had gone through her schedule almost 4 times and to her luck, she only remembered where 2 of her classes are.
After getting accepted into one of the best music schools in the country she knew there were a hundred or more kids that wanted to be in her place. She knew the pressure was on and she was determined . That is until she learned her parents had gotten into a wreck. Her father had died instantly and the only thing keeping her mother alive was a machine.
She would visit her mother almost everyday praying to God to help her progress even if it was a tiny bit and to her surprise, she did. After a couple weeks her mother no longer needed the machine and could sit up on her own. When she heard the news about her husband she was devastated. Her health then started to drop again. As her mother felt herself upon deaths door she made a small request to her daughter.
"My dear, show them who's really the best. "
With tears pooling her vision she heard the unwanted beep sound showing there was no more life left in one's body. From that point on Y/n made a promise to herself that she would be the best music player there period.
"I mean going through your schedule for the first time 3 weeks after school started isn't that bad, right?"
"oh lord I'm talking to myself again."
With Y/n's luck, things weren't looking up for her at all. Letting out another sigh she felt the door behind her move a bit, that's when she heard a beautiful violin melody pour out. Jumping to her feet she scooted the door a little more a peaked inside.
She instantly felt at ease when her eyes landed on a soft boy with green hair. He was indeed, the source of the beautiful melody but, he seemed ever so sad. She watched in awe as his fingers moved to each string while his bow transitioned in different angles.
She was so fixated on him she didn't realize how much she was leaning on the door. With gravity's force she fell straight down to the ground releasing a loud thump into the air. With embarrassment deep in her core she quickly gathered her things and got to her feet looking at the boy straight in the eyes sheepishly.
She then took off running to god knows where, leaving the boy in wonder. "hm, odd. " He was about to play when he noticed something on the floor. Walking towards it he picked it gingerly, studying it carefully. "Y/n L/n, birthday xx xx xxxx.. This must be her id. " he thought as he placed it on a table by him.
The next day had been a struggle for Y/n. She luckily got to her classes, only being late to 3, and even made a friend. Walking down a hall she thought felt as if she had been through this situation before, "deja vu much?" She knew she left her id somewhere and she needed to find it quick, she didn't have the energy to talk to the mean reception lady for another one. That's when she heard it again, the beautiful but sad melody.
She walked towards the already slightly opened door that seemed to call for her and immediately took notice of a id on the table. She gasped quietly and mustered up all her courage, knocking on the door.
She then walked in slowly meeting her eyes with sad but soft green ones. "Um Sorry to interrupt but i um i lost my id and i just wanted to check... " she took a glance, it was his id. "andddd it's not i am so sorry illgonow. " He started at her confused at the last part she said before realizing, She was Y/n L/n.
From that day on she started standing by the door everyday after school listening to the melody. After a while she even asked politely if she could take a seat inside.
"Hey um i really love your playing and i was just wondering if i could listen to you after school... I won't be a distraction i promise. "
".. sure"
After getting comfortable with each other they started having small conversations everyday. She would soon learn that his name was Midoriya Izuku, he had been playing the violin since he was 9 and lost his parents just like her.
Y/n couldn't help but wonder if he found her boring. Everytime she talked to him he seemed to always have the same facial expression. Maybe because I'm not exciting enough? Letting out a sigh she gently pushed the topic aside.
As days progressed and they spent more time together Y/n felt deep down in her gut that she was falling hard for the sad boy. She loved the time they spent together after school, it was her favorite part and the highlight of her day.
But of course with love there's always pain. With natural curiosity Y/n of course, asked if he had a crush and to her great surprise, he said yes. Deciding not to nag him anymore after that she felt sadness deep within her heart. She knew that person could never be her. She pondered on who this great girl could be.
Not long after she started to have anxiety if, he were to ever find out that she likes him, would he make fun of her? Not be friends with her anymore? Tell everyone?
One day she was walking to the room after school but she didn't hear the melody. Rushing to the room she quickly ran in finding no one. "maybe he's sick?" She thought to herself nervously. She gave it two more days and on the third she fell to the floor in tears.
That night she kneeled by her bed with her hands together. "Hey god, are you there i need to talk. Please wherever Midoriya Izuku is keep him safe. Please don't let anyone hurt or mistreat him. If he's ever in a dark time please lift him up. And just a small request find someone who will love him for me. Thank you. "
With tears in her eyes she went to sleep pondering one thing "Why is love so tormenting. "
Within two years Y/n became more focused on school and playing and was on her way to becoming the best. She had grown into a very polite and delicate girl and had even caught the hearts of many. But of course she still pondered about the one she could never stop loving, Midoriya Izuku. As days progressed and memories were forgotten he slowly went to the very bottom of her thoughts.
That if until one sweet day, walking towards her dorm she accidentally bumped into a taller figure. Not looking up at the person due to embarrassment she watched as their wallet fell to the floor, a card coming out along with it. "I'm so sorry i wasn't playing attenti-" she stopped abruptly as her eyes landed on the small card. It was her old id. The one she thought she had lost. Holding it gingerly tears filled her eyes, memories flooded back as her tears started flowing. She whipped her head up hoping and praying that the same sad greens ones would welcome her.
And they did.
