"I don't think I love you. "

Six words was all it took to send Y/n's life downhill. She didn't cry, nor did she let put a gasp or wail. She knew it was coming, it was just a matter of time.

She simply gave a small nod and headed towards the bathroom. Feeling the urge to get as far from him as possible she sped walked. The speed walking turned into a jog and the jog turned into a sprint.

Only when she was sprinted did she finally feel the hot tears streaming down her flushed cheeks. She ran through the halls without a care and bombarded straight into the bathroom and into a stall.

She wailed as the tears never seemed to stop. Finally after around six minutes did her wailing turn into soft hiccups. She wiped her runny nose with her sleeve when a shadow from another stall caught her attention.

She saw the shadow move around and a soft tearing sound before she saw a hand with toilet paper appear from under the stall. She saw the hand seemed a little large for a girl but still took the toilet paper and muttered a "thanks".

To her surprise, a guy voice replied with a, "no problem. " She let out a small gasp before deciding to question as to why a guy was in the girls bathroom.

"I'm sorry but why are you in the girls bathroom. "

There was a short silence before the guy cleared his throat.

"Sorry to let you know now but uh, this is the boys bathroom. "

Y/n quickly rushed out of the stall to see blue walls and an area where urinals were placed. Her face flushed as she let out a squeak. Just then the lock on the stall started to wiggle as a boy emerged from the stall.

She quickly studied his features before meeting his green eyes. She held his eyes there afraid of what might happen next before glancing at the door and breaking out in a sprint. As she pushed through the door she heard a distant "Wait!" before the door closed behind her.

Soft tics of the school clock could be hear as Y/n tapped her pencil on the desk. She yawned as she turned and started at the clock.

Five more minutes til lunch.

She felt her stomach rumble as she packed up her supplies. She put her pencil in her bag just as the bell let out a continuous ringing noise.

As she walked through the hallway she saw something green in the corner of her eye. Turning, she made eye contact with the same guy from the bathroom. She let out a yelp before she started running. She heard yet another "Wait!" but didn't dare turn around.

Soon after she thought she was far away from him did the regret and guilt wash over her. She let out a long sigh as she sat on the floor. She put her head in her knees when she heard the sound of footsteps near her.

She snapped her head up as she saw the guy from the bathroom. She felt her face get hot and her palms get sweaty.

Don't run away.

She repeated those three words as her heart rate increased. She finally made eye contact with him when he was right in front of her. When her eyes met his, all the nervousness flushed away.

She felt on a trance like state with her eyes on his. He then let out a small smile which she gladly returned.

Ever since that day they have been great friends. Whenever they would reminisce about their little "bathroom issue " they couldn't help but break down in laughter.

The older they got the stronger their friendship grew.

One day they decided to hang out at the park. Y/n ran up the hill in excitement as she took on the beautiful view of their town. She let out a beaming smile when she hear a familiar "Wait!"

She turned around as she saw the one guy she oh so long ago in the boys bathroom. He approached her with a bright smile and touched her cheek gently.

"I think I love you. "

Y/n felt her heart stop. She felt tears come to her eyes from happiness as she tackled him in a hug.

"I love you too. "

It truly was a pleasant surprise.
