i woke up on a cold floor my vision foggy. rolling back and forth in agony my hand automatically touched my face, the swelling features hurting as my fingers pressed against them.

my vision slowly started to become normal, blinking my eyes rapidly to adjust to the light.

a few guys was standing around a stone table, a dim light hangin above them, they seemed to be in a intense conversation when all heads shot to me. the girl watching me, before they turned back to their conversation.

the light skin guy from the club walked up to me. "close ya eyes." he told me, a bottle in his hand with a dirty rag that was once white. doing as told, alcohol burned my cuts that were fresh on my face. squeezing my eyes shut to not the feel the pain. he wiped my face, standin up to his feet.

"who's this?" a man asked, who walked in carrying a brief case. he glanced down at my state, lifting his hat, to nod at me.

"ya got ma shit loyd?" seyven snatched the briefcase from his hand, he held his hand up in defense, chuckling.

"everything tha."

seyven opened the case in front of bronx, she picked up a baggie of coke, smellin it through the plastic.

"grade a shit." the man added.

"good." she hopped off the table, her jeans baggy around ha waist, shooting him in the head without even a second glance.

she let out a shaky breath, bendin ova the table. "clean it up, take the c to night, see how much he can get for this cheap shit."

walking over to me, she crouch down in my face, pulling my hair, making my lips crash against the ground, standin up, she dragged me out through the buildin.

niggas started at me, her grip tighten as she stepped outside. the guard from last night opened the back seat, she threw me.

gettin in the front seat with the light skin.

"sin came up short last week."

"by how much?" she started to drive in a unfamiliar neighborhood.

"seven."

"hundred?"

"thousand."

she only nodded, lighting a blunt that he handed to ha. "why shawty hea?"

she looked at me in the rear view mirror.
"she gon be runnin ma shit."

my nails pressed against my palms makin them bleed. seeing drugs even weed made me angry. havin to sell it would just mean i was like everything and everyone else i tried to get away from.

"or she can stand on tha corner and make ma money another way."

biting the inside of my lip to keep from speaking, remaining silent was the best way to not make them angry but as soon as the opportunity presented itself, i was escaping.

ive never fired a gun so killin anyone was out of the question but if it came to it, there would be no hesitation.

"the lil girl don't look like the type to sell ha pussy."

"whea this nigga suppose to be at, saint?"

"eighty-seven south bendlen."

she stopped the car on the side of the street. a young boy who barely looked over the age of sixteen stared, eyes wide and started to run the opposite direction.

saint laughed, pullin back his gun. "stupid, stupid, nigga."

she drove fast, speedin through alleyways and hittin some girl on the sidewalk. she kept going, the boy glanced back at ha, tryin' to out run a car that he knew he couldn't.

he looked like he was only a kid caught up in some shit he had no knowledge of.

"don't hit him." i yelled, my voice horse from the pain that still coursed through my body.

"oh." saint laughed, "it talks."

she pressed down on the gas hittin the boy. my stomach turned from the crunch of his bones under the heavy tire. she rolled over him before lookin back to reverse ova him, again.

shuttin' my eyes at the sound of runnin over his skull cracked in my ears. they kept driving like nothing happened.

"so you talk?" saint turned around in his seat to watch me.

i stayed silent. he pointed his gun to me.

"yes."

"chill ma, was just workin on ma aim." he stayed turned around. "you ever run drugs befa'?"

shaking my head, "no."

"well" he started, "rule numba one, don't be late with payment. bronx like ha shit on time."

i nodded.

"oh and rule numba two-"

"don't try to leave." she voiced.
