Linsey was sitting behind the last sink, leaning against the wall with her back. She felt the tears streaming from her eyes and she just buried her head into her arms. She then slowly stood up and looked into the mirror. For a moment she thought that Katherine was right and she looked like an idiot. She was more afraid though about what Nick will think of her after this. She took a deep breath and opened the sink, washing her face and removing all the makeup she had on her face. She was just a shame.

She heard the bell and with another deep breath, she dried her face and left the bathroom. She looked around and Nick was nowhere. That's right... She was alone again because she thought she would be able to have Nick more than a friend. She went to her next class which was luckily the last one as well, then went to the front door to leave the building. To her surprise Nick was there, sitting on the first step of the stairs and looking at his watch. She tried not to look at him and went pass by him, but it didn't work.

"Linsey, wait!" said Nick and went after the girl, but she just kept going without looking back at him. "Hey, wait for me."

He ran after her then grabbed one of her arms to stop her and turn her back to face him. She turned back to Nick of course, but she kept looking away from him and hanging down her head.

"Hey, look at me," he said, trying to catch Linsey's eyes, but she kept turning her head. "Please, look at me."

Nick grabbed her head with both of his hands and stopped her from turning her head to look away. He looked into her eyes and Linsey looked up as well to look into Nick's.

"Just forget what that bitch said," he said seriously to her. "You looked beautiful."

"You are just saying that to..." she said, but Nick didn't let her finish.

"No, I mean it. But you have to know that you look beautiful for me without makeup too," he smiled at her which made Linsey smile slightly as well, but she was still sad. "Now. You said that we are going to your place, so?"

Linsey took a deep breath and nodded opening up a portal and pulled Nick into it with herself. They arrived at Zartaria again, but they walked out of the city quickly and went to Linsey's hiding place. Nick sat down under the same tree they sat under yesterday and put his backpack beside it. He watched Linsey as she dropped her backpack as well, but she angrily went to the opened field and just stood there. Nick saw that now her sadness was mixed with anger and she clenched her fists beside her. She became angrier and angrier, then she screamed loudly into the air, and with that powerful scream, she burnt the grass around her with light purplish fire. She stopped and collapsed onto her knees and started crying again.

Now Nick saw how powerful Linsey really was. Her angered scream surprised him a little, but he stood up and went up to Linsey. He kneeled on the burnt down grass and slowly wrapped his arms around her from behind. When she felt his arms she quickly turned to him and buried her face into Nick's chest and cried.

"Why? Why does she have to do this with me?" she asked, choking on her tears.

"She is just jealous because she is not as pretty as you," said Nick, and Linsey just pushed him away.

"Yeah, sure," she said and turned away again crossing her arms in annoyance.

"What do I have to do to make you believe me?" he asked softly and sat beside her, trying to look into her eyes again.

Linsey just shook her head, her gaze focused on the burnt down grass under her. Nick took a deep breath and took Linsey's jaw between his fingers to make her look at him. He pushed Linsey's hair away from her eyes to look into them more. Linsey was still sad, but she was curious as well about what Nick was planning to do. He slowly leaned in, tilting a little his head, but before he kissed her he hesitated a bit. He wasn't sure if Linsey wanted this too or not, but when she didn't do anything he gently pressed his lips to Linsey's. He held it there for a minute to taste her lips and watch Linsey's reaction, but she just pulled Nick more into the kiss. They started kissing passionately which made Linsey move closer to Nick and wrap her arms around his neck. After a while, they ended the kiss and they both just sat there, looking into each other's eyes.

"Are you okay?" asked Nick, cupping her face with his hand and Linsey smiled back at him.

She just simply nodded and with his breath released, Nick hugged her again, but this time they just sat there listening to the distant sounds of the city beyond the forest. Time was quickly passing by and they didn't even realized that the sky turned into darkness only the stars and the fireflies around them lightling the place. Nick was carresing Linsey's hair when she sat up from his arms and turned her head to kiss the boy in front of her. Their lips met in another passionate kiss, but it was interrupted by Linsey's phone.

"Oh, no," she said as she ended the kiss amd quickly reached for her phone in her jeans' pocket.

She looked at it, but she already knew who was calling her. Jack. She rolled her eyes and quickly stood up. She hesitated for a moment, but she decided to end the call and put her phone away. She will have to explain her father a lot.

"We need to go," she said and helped Nick to stand up.

"Okay, but this time I'm walking you home," he said decisively as they walked up to the tree to grab their backpacks.

"Right, but then I'll have to explain it to daddy," she said with a heavy breath.

"Just tell him that I'm your friend and he doesn't have to worry about anything," suggested Nick as he handed Linsey her bag.

"Really?" she asked, rolling her eyes, because she knew this whole situation wasn't that easy.

"I mean you can tell him that I'm your boyfriend, but then you'll be in bigger trouble than in the other way," said Nick smirking at her.

"Boyfriend?" smirked Linsey back at Nick. "Does that mean that we are dating now?"

"Only if you want, " Nick smiled back and Linsey just gave him a quick kiss on his lips as an answer.

She opened up a portal and they went through it to arrive at Linsey's house. Right before Jack opened the door the portal closed.

"You are in a big trouble young lady," Jack said, folding his arms in front of his chest.

"Sorry," said Linsey then turned to Nick, smiling at him. "We will talk tomorrow."

"Right," said Nick and smiled back at her. "Goodnight, princess."

He bowed in front of her and kissed her hand then looked back up at her, winking at her. They both chuckled before Nick waved goodbye to her and left the street. Linsey watched him and slowly walked up to the porch, then looked at Jack who was still standing there with folded arms. She went by him inside, then Jack followed her and closed the door behind her.

'This is gonna be a long talk,' thought Linsey.
