Lucas and Hunt

Chapter Twelve

*Lucas POV:

*Friday*

Friday evening,  my mom is cooking food on the stove and my entire family, including me got dressed up.

The doorbell rings and I answer it.

I open the door to see Hunt and a man and a woman behind him, both of them had faces that were  as tough as stone.

I reminded myself never to cross them.

"Come on in. It's very nice to meet you Mr and Mrs. Honoré " I say and move beside the door to let them in.

Hunt's parents scoff at me.

I stare confused at what I said wrong.

Hunt breaks the awkward silence by speaking.

"Lucas these are my parents and Mom, Dad this is my boy- I mean Best friend Lucas" Hunt bites his lip as his parents roll their eyes.,

Wow, no impressing these people, huh?

Hunt's parents finally walk into the house. After they walk into the dining room Hunt pulls me over to the side.

"That was close." Hunt says.

"Too close." I add.

"this better work" Hunt says.

I Kiss his cheek.

"And it will once you're parents see how much we care about each other they'll have to accept it, they'll come around, Hunt. Trust me It'll be alright. " I reassure him.

"I hope so" Hunt said.

"Trust me" I say hugging him.

Hunt hugs back. "Well, with you by my sisters I have full confidence."

Hunt leans back to kiss me and I kiss back.

Just when it stated to get a little passionate I pull back.

"My love, how I would love to just sit here making out all night we better go before this turns into a long make out session. Our families are most likely waiting on us" I said to Hunt and he sighs.

"Fine. But I'll hold you to that in the near future." Hunt says as he points a finger at me.

Hunt holds a straight face until he breaks serious until he breaks his seriousness. We both laugh and go back to the dinner.

Part way though the dinner and everyone is laughing and eating and joking with each other and then my mom speaks up.

"Boys, I think we'd all like to know why you arranged this dinner " Mom says to Hunt and I.

"Yeah you said you had something to tell us" Terra says.

Hunt and I stand up. He seems to hesitate and I put my hand on his shoulder and smile at him. He seems to relax more and smile back.

"Ok" I say and sigh quickly before liking our at everyone's faces.

"Hunt and I...we're together , in love, a relationship I mean" I say and Terra smiles almost immediately after hearing that.
