Lucas and Hunt

Chapter Thirteen

Lucas POV:

Tears stream down my face as I'm alone in my room. My parents and Terra walk in.

"Lucas, are you okay?" Terra asks me.

"I'm just worried about Hunt , his parents parents will never let us be together. I knew you guys would accept it , you've always accepted me , but Hunt isn't that lucky to have a amazing family like I do" I say and look down at my knees.

"Look, Lucas, you and Hunt have something special and it's clear there's a spark, it's called love and love rises over everything. You and Hunt have a connection and one day Mr. and Mrs. Honoré will see that and if they don't that will never change what you and Hunt have , you love him and he loves you , and nothing could ever change that" Terra says.

"But what if they never accept it? We just have to hide it from his parents? We can't just deny the spark like it's not there!" I yell.

"Honey, Lucas, Sweetie listen to me" my mom soothes as she strokes my hair.

" I'm not telling you to deny it and I'm not saying go behind the Honoré's backs , besides if you lied about it his parents would be furious right? You love him don't you ? You wouldn't want him to get in trouble" Mom's says to me.

She had a point there, I would Never, Never want to Hurt Hunt, I -I loved him, with all my heart.

"Well, then what am I supposed to do then?! I love him, Mom! If we hide our relationship it would hurt Hunt, and it would break my heart if I hurt him, because I love him more than anything, but what else can we do mom?" I say impatiently.

"You and Hunt will get your happily ever after, I know it, Lucas!" Terra says trying to cheer me up.

I sigh, not believing it.

"Just give the Honoré's some time to cool off ,Lucas. I'm sure they'll come around once they see you and Hunt together and the love you share . But that is their opinion, how they feel, I'm not saying it's right or wrong that's how it is , not everyone accepts things like that, including Hunt's parents and it's just a part of life, son. One day you'll understand that" Mom says.

I bite my lip and think about what Mom said.

"You and Hunt have a spark unlike any I've ever seen , and I watch a lot of Rom- Com's on the Hallmark channel. And because of that I know you and Hunt belong together, Lucas . I'm sure you will get together in the end . You're soulmates and if the Honoré's can't see that they're idiots" Terra reassures me.

"Thanks, Terra." I say and laugh at my twin sister's quirkinesses.

It's oood to know I can always count on my twin sister to cheer me up when I'm really upset . Terra always keeps me from going off the deep end and I help her keep her sanity .

" So, I've been thinking since you're coming out went so well I was thinking I'd come out too" Terra says shyly.

My eyes light up.

"you're finally doing it?! That's amazing Terra! But are you sure you're ready? It's a big decision, it took me since kindergarten and you saw how how mine went with my boyfriend's parents." I say.

It still hurt, a lot.

Terra has a boyfriend before, my parents know that. What they didn't know that she was also into girls.

"Yeah, I'm ready, think." Terra says.

"Well, I'm proud of you whatever you decide. Trust me when I say it takes a lot of courage and I know mom and dad will accept you like they accepted me." I said.

"But I thought we always agreed to come out together" Terra says.

That was true, when Terra and I both knew for sure what and who we liked we both thought that it would be easier if we can out at the same time.

"I came out with the love of my life by my side and maybe you can too" I say and wink.

"Yeah, I kind of have a crush on this girl at school , her name's Charlotte Martin ." Terra blushes and rubs her am in embarrassment.

" I have full confidence in you, Terr" I say and punch her arm lightly and playfully.

"Thanks bro" Terra says. "Anytime sis." I say back.

We both hug and during the hug Terra declares. "Lunt forever!"

"Lunt? What's Lunt? Is that some weird disease I've never heard of? " I ask and pull back from my sister's embrace.

Terra bursts out laughing " No, you big dummy! it's your ship name"

"I have a ship name?" I ask, very confused.

"yeah , Lucas and Hunt : Lunt . I made it up, just thought it sounded better than Hucas "

I make a disgusted face.

"Yeah, you made the right decision " I say and my sister laughs. I laugh too.

"Well, if you'll excuse me dear brother, I've got Lunt fanfics to write". I laugh and playfully shove her up.

Terra leaves the room.

I look at my texts with me and Hunt and smile.

I really love that dork.

I really hope things went over well with Hunt's parents... but I guess I'll find out sooner or later.

I just hope he's not in trouble.
