I had taken Izzy and Henry to our local park-garden thing after brunch. Iz was pretending to act all sophisticated shut but we all know she's as fancy as my dog. Bitch got manners.

The entire drive was filled with a screaming baby and a whiny (is that spelled correctly) adult-teenager-hybrid. I was constantly giving Henry whatever he cried for, after I made him talk clearly, and made Isabelle do something useful.

I was half dead when we reached the pond and flew out of my car. Almost literally. (Unfortunately, I had unsafe sex with my cheatercheaterboyfriend-thingy and had a result of a VERY LOUD TODDLER. But that's what always happens when you have unsafe sex with someone, so y'all better wear condoms.) I unbuckled my child and grabbed my purse.

It had my stele, pads(OH MY GOD SHADOWHUNTERS HAVE PERIODS TOO GEEZ(I think lol)), writing utensils, diapers and BREAD. It didn't have any of those other girly needs like an extra makeup bag or whatever. (#nomakeup #nofilter)

The three of us started skipping, waking and running to the pond. There was a large area or grass surrounding the pond with a gazebo and many other plants. There was a backside to the pond that was filled with flowers and many more hidden areas throughout the park. (Insert dirty joke here.)

There were many ducks and turtles and few fish in the pond. Luckily there were no fish out of the pond.

On a small island children were playing with turtles while others were feeding the ducks.

I smiled softly and took off my jacket and placed it on the ground. I sat on my jacket as Henry grabbed a few slices of bread and began feeding the ducks. Isabelle decided to throw rocks at the ducks, hitting them each time.

I chuckled and started eating slices of bread.

It was 5ish when we got back home. Henry was napping, iz was close to napping and I was sipping on my coffee.

I closed my eyes for a few seconds and signaled Jace to come over and help. I quickly scribbled a mapping fine on Iz and silently unbuckled Henry from his car seat.

Jace came soon after and picked up Iz bridal style and carried her to the house. I got my bag and coffee and locked my car before heading inside.

The smell of pumpkin pancakes filled my nose as soon as I stepped into my house. The sound of classical music traveled through the halls as I carried Henry to his room and tucking him in bed. He was still asleep when I left him in his room. Jace just came out of Iz's room after I shut Henry's door.

I smiled slowly and started walking down stairs.

"They're out like a light." I commented.

Jace nodded his head. "I haven't seen Iz like that in a while. She's always awake and loud and hyper. Never really seen her like that."

I laughed. "Yeah, it's either that Henry totally drained all her energy or that I have her a napping rune. Either way, it worked." I chuckled. "So what's that delicious smell?"

"Well," Jace started. "I may or may not have gone down to the grocery store, bought pumpkin pancake mix and pumpkin syrup and made pumpkin pancakes. But you can check the kitchen if you'd like."

My eyes lit up as I zoomed to the kitchen where a stack of pancakes and syrup greeted me.

Never too late for pancakes.

Jace was a Jem and I started piling pancakes on my plate and drowning them in syrup, whipped cream and fruit. It was perfect.
