We always knew that we weren't the only universe with super humans. But when a breach opened, allowing another world to walk into ours, we weren't prepared. The super humans from the other world who used their abilities for horrible things saw this opportunity and took it. One by one they started to come into our world, trying to take over.

Our ancestors were the first generation heroes, meaning before them the humans with the Hero Gene stayed low, ashamed of their abilities. They were the generation where they used their enhancements for good, helping whoever they could. Over the years, something happened. The Hero Gene started to disappear. By the time our parents were born only 21% of the world had the Hero Gene.

Our grandparents didn't have to deal with the New World, the new threats that were arising every day.  Each day as our Hero Gene rate went lower the Other World had their Hero Gene rate rise. It was as if they were sprouting them out of somewhere. A new villain every week, some with powers that were beyond the current heroes.

It got so bad that the government called a new law. People with the Hero Gene were to be put into the Academy, The Enhanced Academy. Which is where I met them. Seven boys, seven different Hero Gene. Each of them were powerful in their own way. From super strength to having the ability to using energy around them as a weapon. Namjoon, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Taehyung had already formed their team. I was the new girl who made their way into the group, earning a spot in their little team.

Then came the others, Jisoo, Lisa, Rose, Jennie, Audrey and Daniel. The fourteen of us became close, really close within the first eight months of the Academy. We had made our team already even before the Academy would release us into the world to be the new heroes, the Guardians.

Because the Hero Gene was dying out the government tried their hardest to keep those with the Hero Gene together, in order to keep it alive. They couldn't force the Heroes to marry each other but they tried their hardest to keep the relationships within them. Even then there was a small chance for their child to be born with the Hero Gene. It was a smaller chance if it was one Hero Gene parent and the other parent was normal. And even a smaller chance if both parents didn't have the gene. But it wasn't rare, on a few occasions there were kids born with it, becoming the first Hero in their family.

The Infernos are the current group who were watching over the planet, protecting us from the evil. Pyro was the leader, or Riley Flores. She was put into the Academy at the age of 15, only because her powers were too strong for her to control and she had to be put into a school that understood her. There she met the boy who would later turn into her husband and then the father of her child. The only thing was he was a normal human, nothing special about him. He was a rare case, a child born of two powerful superheroes who had the gene but the gene wasn't active.

Parker Smith was his name. Parker was sent to the Academy at the age of 15 as well. His problem was that his enhancements hadn't shown up, and in fear his parents sent him there to get him checked. The Academy at first thought he was a late bloomer, but that wasn't the case. As I said before, the Hero Gene was there it just wasn't active.

The both of them fell in love with each other as they attended the Academy.  The Academy tried their hardest to have Riley fall for a hero with a gene. They feared that their strongest hero to come to the Academy would give birth to a child with no Hero Gene. After three almost four years Pyro was released and with her were the thirteen other young adults who were put into her group. Parker was released too but into society instead. They found each other again while Riley and her team was out for a mission.

Once the both of them turned 21 they moved in together. Two years later they got married, and a exactly year later Riley gave birth to their first and only child, Evie Flores. They were told I was born with the gene but it wasn't active, they weren't upset but the government sure was. Somehow the gene in me activated itself, my enhancements came one by one. My mom was there for me, taking me through each step until the Academy found out about me.

They sent a letter saying they wanted me at the Academy by the time I turned 21. My dad was ready to send me off with my mom's parents, away from all of this. My mom ended up convincing him, saying that sending me there would be the best thing for me. After a bit he agreed. It's only been a couple of months after my 20th birthday and my mom has signed me up for the Academy. She only gave me a week to pack, seeing that she signed me up just in time for the Academy Bus to pick up the new arrivals.

The Academy, it's something that never came to my mind until now. Until this exact moment where I'm about to leave the life I knew and step into a life where I'm expected to do great things. Where I'm expected to live up to my mom's level, to be one of the greats. But I'm not feeling to great about this. Not at all.

Oh man guys, I've been into BTS recently so I thought wouldn't it be cool to have a story about them being heroes? So I created this one. Stay in tune for the introduction chapter 💗
