| 16 | A Holly Jolly Time

Uh it's Christmas so I'm skipping to Christmas LMFAOOO. Merry Christmas y'all

December 22 (two days before Christmas Eve)

"You have to stay there." Mom says and I sigh. "You mean to tell me you're heading back home for Christmas while I stay here?" I ask her and she nods. "You'll be fine Evie! From what I heard most of the students there are staying in the Academy anyway!" She says happily. "But I wanted to go home." I mutter. "I know. You'll be back soon." She tells me, frowning slightly.

"Also you're staying there for New Year's Eve as well, bye sweetie!" She ends the video call and my eyes widen. "What the fuck?" I whisper, falling back on the couch. "It's not that bad Evie! At least were all together!" Audrey says, looking down at her freshly painted nails. "I know but still." I can't believe she's going back to Mexico and without me! "Come on, I heard Dean Willow is letting us out tomorrow so we can get what we need for our celebrations!" Audrey says happily, her eyes shining with excitement. I smile softly at her and nod. "Well that's going to be fun." She nods, agreeing with me. "Yea Daniel and I already have a list. Do you guys have one?" She asks me and I shake my head. "Yoongi hasn't said anything-" "Evie do you need anything from the grocery store?" Yoongi asks as he walked in with Jisung behind him and looking down at his phone.  I guess he has now.

The next day

The bus came to a stop and Jon stood up. "You have two hours to get what you need. Dean Willow was going to give you only an hour but I asked for two since I knew you guys take your time. Go on." Jon tells us and we nod, standing from our seats and gathering our shoppings bags. I had a simple black bag that should fit everything I need. "Okay let's go." Yoongi says, grabbing my hand and pulling me out the bus. As we walked towards the shopping market there was people entering and exiting, it seemed busy. Yoongi let's go of my hand and grabbed a cart which I stood in front of him and motioned for him to hold on. I got into it, situating myself into the cart before Yoongi pushed me into the market.

When we got in there was music coming from the speaker, employees wearing Christmas hats or reindeer ears. Even one wear a candy cane headband. They were very festive. It was cute. "Okay what do you need?" Yoongi asks and I pull out my list. "Hm white rice, milk, cinnamon, Mexican chocolate, and masa harina." I say, reading out loud the ingredients. "Alright your list is short, let's get yours first." Yoongi tells me, pushing me towards the aisle that's says international food. Slowly he pushed me through the aisle as I scanned the shelves. "Oh the Mexican chocolate!" I say, pointing to it. He grabbed it and gave it to me which I placed next to me. "And the masa harina." Once again he gave it to me and I smiled. "That's it from this aisle.." I say , looking around.

We passed by the Mexican hot chocolate and I smiled. "Can you get that?" I asks him, pointing at it. He grabs it and hands it to me with a smile. "Thank you very much." I say, smiling back. "Time for your stuff." I tell him and he pushed me through the aisles. As he did he picked up things here and there and placed them next to me. At some point we passed by Audrey and Daniel who were trying to decide whether to make a chocolate or strawberry cake. "Confetti!" I yell out to them as we did. When we made it to the meat section the boys were there looking at the meat. "Evie come out we're gonna need the space." Jin tells me and I groan. I reached my arms forward towards Namjoon who easily grabbed me and took me out the cart.

"What are you guys getting?" I ask them, looking at the meats as well. "Meat! We need it." They say and I nod. "Okay cool. Uh I'm gonna go look for Jisung." I say, turning around and looking for him. He's probably in the chips section. Making my way there I passed by his group, where Chan was putting multiple packs of ramen into their cart. In the aisle next to them Soobin and his boys were getting pasta and sauce. Everyone seemed to be making different. I wanted to make something but they told me not to since everyone else is cooking. Instead they told me to handle the drinks and dessert.

Finally I made it to the chip aisle where Jisung was holding up two bags of chips. "Should I get potato chips or cheese puffs?" He asks me without turning to me. "Hmmm get them both." I tell him and he shrugs before tossing both bag into the little cart. "Did you get everything you need?" Jisung asked me and I nod. "Let me see if they have the other chocolates I like." I say, turning and looking. My eyes landed on the chocolates that was wrapped in the golden foil and I smiled. It's the last box. I reached for it, my hand landing on the box but then another hand did too. I looked to the side and saw a lady standing there, glaring at me. "Sorry but these are my favorite." She says, tugging the box of chocolates towards her.

"Hey! My hand was on it first! It's mine." I say, pulling it back to me. She tugged it back and soon we started a little tug of war with the box. "Listen little girl, Im older so just give them to me." She pulled it fully towards her and I frowned. "You're rude!" I say to her, turning around and walking away. "Evie." Jisung called out to me, running behind me. "Come on Jisung, we gotta get on line so we don't get left back." I tell him, nodding towards the registers. He nods and we make our way to them, him going on one line and me on another. As we waited the other students made their way to us, lining up next to us. "Why do you look mad?" Yoongi asks me as he placed the groceries on the little moving thing.

I grumbled out my words explaining what happened as I turned my head away. "Uhhh okay." Yoongi says. "Some older lady took the chocolates Evie wanted." Jisung tells him and Yoongi nods. "The ones in the gold foil? I already got them for you." Yoongi pulls out the box of chocolates and I gasp softly, a smile spreading on my face. "Yoongi!" I say loudly, clapping my hands excitedly. "Your welcome." Yoongi tells me as he places them on the moving thing. It was a thing that I didn't fight that lady for them, that would've ended badly. "It would've been a holly jolly time." Yoongi tells me, smiling. He read my mind. "What would've been a holly jolly time?" Namjoon asks. "Evie fighting for chocolates." Yoongi says, making Namjoon laugh. "Oh yea that definitely would've been a holly jolly time."

"Shut up!"

Also sorry I disappeared I had TERRIBLE writers block, I still do sorta but it's going away. It's a good thing I already planned this book out before it happened. See you y'all 🤍
