| 13 | The Newcomers

My phone dinged, signaling that I received another new message. Probably the group chat talking about tonight's plan. Everyone seems excited about it. Yoongi was still in bed, I had woken up an hour earlier so I can get something to eat. I'll probably bring him back something. Grabbing my land yard which held my keycard, ID, and AirPods I walked out my dorm. The halls were empty and quiet. It was almost seven am, everyone is either eating, sleeping, or getting ready. My footsteps were quiet as I made my way through the hallway, Im trying to be quiet, not wanting to wake anyone up. The cafeteria was at arms reach, I could smell the pancakes coming from inside. The syrup, the hash browns, the coffee. Just thinking about all of that made my mouth water.

"Evie, we have a group of boys coming in, you and Yoongi are going to show them around. Jon and I will be in a meeting all day with the Cali school." Dean Willow says and i sigh softly. Breakfast was just at arms reach, I was so close. Anyway, the Cali school, it was like ours but in Cali, or California. We haven't seen it but they said it's as big as ours and there's a lot more students there. It's funded by rich parents who put their kids in it in hopes they end up being an enhanced. Sometimes they are and sometimes they're not. Most of the times they're not.

"They should be arriving...in ten minutes. You're both excused from your classes, grab Yoongi and go." Dean Willow says to be before walking away. She disappeared around the corner and I ran towards my dorm. I slammed the door open, scaring Yoongi in the process. "Get up! We're giving the new kids the tour!" I yell out at him and he groans loudly. He gets off his bed, throwing a pillow towards the door to close it. "It's Namjoon's birthday, we were gonna watch movies after class." Yoongi says and I sigh. "I know, well tell him to hold on. We can watch them later tonight." I say and he nods.

The both of us changed as quickly we could into black long sleeve shirts. The only different was our jeans, he wore dark blue jeans and I wore light blue jeans with rips on them. He threw on a black cap as I put on socks.  I look at him as I slip on my black Vans and giggle. "Stop copying me." I say, sticking my tongue out at him. Yoongi walks over to me and mimicked me. "Stop copying me." He says, his voice trying to sound like mine. I push his shoulder harshly as he tried to grab my waist. "Let's go!" I say, pushing his face slightly. He was leaning in for a kiss but I dissed him. Before we walked out I shoot a text to the group chat telling them that Dean Willow told Yoongi and I to give a tour to the new comers.

Namjoon responded with a sad face and an okay. The others said okay. "Okay they know, come on." The both of us rushed towards the main door just in time. The familiar bus that drove us to the school a month and so ago was in front of school. Eight boys were standing in front of it, looking up at the school. They must feel scared, or at least intimidated. I was, this school is scary looking.

I walked out first, smiling soft at them. "Welcome to The Enhanced Academy." I say, walking down the stairs and up to them. Yoongi followed behind me, not saying anything. "I'm Evie and he is Yoongi." I say, elbowing Yoongi. He groans softly, leaning forward slightly as he waves at them. They looked young, around my age and maybe younger. "Nice to meet you, I'm Chan." One is them says and I smile. "That is Felix, Changbin, Hyunjin, Minho, Seungmin, Jisung, and Jeongin." Chan says and I wave at the others.

"Well let's get you situated." I say, turning around and walking back towards the school. Yoongi had a sour face when I turned and I glared at him. 'What's wrong?' I ask him and he looks at me. 'They're attracted to your face.' He told me and I roll my eyes. His arm slipped around my waist and I elbowed him quickly, his arm moving off my waist to hold his stomach.

The school was still pretty empty. "It's not empty, they're just in getting ready for class or eating." I say, laughing softly. They all smiled at me as they fiddled with their luggages. "Alright well, Jon should have left something." I say, looking around. Right on cue Hobi strolled in, holding several papers. He yawned quietly, shaking his head slightly as he got closer. "Hey, Jon left these for you by my door." He says, handing Yoongi the papers. "Thanks Hobi." I say, nodding and smiling at him. He smiles back before turning around and making his way to his class. "So we'll just show you guys to your dorms where you can put your stuff away and then we'll give you the tour." I say and Chan nods. "Sounds good to me!" He says.
