"The Academy, wow Evie. I can't believe you're already going!" My mom says excitedly. I nod slowly, pulling my two luggage towards the stairs. "You need help honey?" My dad asks and I shake my head. "I can do it." I say but he grabs the both of them and brings them down for me. Oh okay then.
My dad had the Hero Gene, like me and my mother. But in his case his wasn't active, which means no enhancements for him. "Oh the car is here! Let's go!" My mom basically bolts towards the door, while my dad shakes her head. "Sometimes I think she misses those times back in the Academy." He says and I nod. It's no lie that my mom has always dreamt of going back. 'They were our prime years!' She always said to my dad. You know how some people say 'oh I miss our high school years!' Well this was like her high school years.
"Come on, you have to go." Dad says and I nod. The car that came to get me wasn't a car at all. It was more like a bus but a very expensive bus. The bus was black and in red script it said The Enhanced Academy. The driver got out and took the luggage's from my dads hand.
The windows were tinted but not tinted enough to see that there were already people in there. "Evie." I hear mom say as she grabs my hands. "I'm so proud of you. You're a legacy, now show them how powerful you are." She says and I nod. She kisses my forehead before letting go of my hands. My dad pulls me into a hug, rubbing my back softly. "If anything happens you call us okay? We'll go get you." He says and I nod again. He lets me go and my mom ushers me towards the bus.
The doors open again and I sigh softly. Here goes nothing. I step into the bus but my dad grabs my hand. "Your phone!" He says, handing me my phone and my AirPods case. I smile at him and hug him again. He lets out a laugh and hugs me back, moving away after a few seconds and nodding. I nod back, waving at my mom then walking into the bus. When I get in there I'm met immediately with seven boys, all of them looking at me and I smile. "Hi..I'm Ev-woah!" My introduction was cut short when the bus jerked forward and I fall towards the floor.
In one quick motion a person had wrapped their arms around, pulled me up and sat me down on one of the seats. "Fast reflexes huh?" I say, finally looking at the person. His hair was a dark brown color, light curls were there. His eyes shined lightly as he smiled at me. "I'm just fast." He says and I nod. "I'm Hoseok, but you can call me Hobi." He says and I smile. "I'm Evie." I stick my hand out for him to shake it and he gladly shakes it.
"I should probably introduce you to the others or else they'll throw something." He says, turning his body so his back was against the seat in front of us and he was sitting up on his knees. I do the same and look at the others. The one with blonde hair had something in his hand ready to throw at Hobi but he quickly put his hand down and smiles at us. He was really ready to throw something at us.
