Welcome To Iceton

I had put on a lovely golden dress. I didn't want the villagers to think I was a bad example. My friends, Twinkle, Alex, Gene and Alien would stay in the castle while I went to the village.

Mizu gave me a brown fur coat. That was apparently the fashion of Frostonia. I walked outside with Mizu to find something surprising.

There was a blue carriage waiting for me. The carriage had beautiful  patterns all over it. The patterns colour's were lighter shades of blue and cream white. White glitter danced around the carriage doors. A tall, slender guard approached one of the doors and opened it, then he stood next to it.

Mizu nudged me, "come on, go to the carriage."

I shook my head to snap out of the gaze I was in. I slowly put my left foot out, then my right foot. Before I knew it, I was standing outside the carriage.

"Hello, princess," the skinny guard said, bowing to me. I only smiled, getting into the carriage.

The seats were a very comfortable leather, And the interior was stunning. The walls looked as if they were marble. Mizu sat opposite me. She looked very excited.

Mizu explained to me how she had never been in a carriage before, and she felt like a real royal person. I thought her remark was very stupid, considering that the only royal in the carriage was me. I didn't comment, I just nodded. I looked outside the window of the carriage. I saw a sign that read 'Welcome To Iceton.'

"Oh my gosh, we're here!" Mizu squealed, "I haven't been here in ages! I can't wait to see my family!"

I remember Mizu saying how her family lived in the village. They were... Farmers, I think. Mizu told me only about her mother, not her father, or any other family she has. I might learn something new today.

I felt the carriage stop. I breathed in and out. Mizu squealed excitedly. I heard footsteps, loads, actually. Then I heard a horn or trumpet play a certain tune, like when a queen was arriving .

I then heard a voice, "villagers of Iceton, please give a warm welcome to Princess Ruby, and her accompanist Mizu Kirk!"

I walked out first. I saw many faces of people I didn't know. Woman and men, also children. I also saw a few pets that tagged along. Many of the people's hairs were blue, but some had been dyed into colours like pink or black. The village that I was in, called Iceton, didn't seem like a village. It was more like a city, but with no super crazy tall buildings. Probably everyone from Iceton had come to welcome my presence. Mizu came out behind me, and I felt relieved. I was pretty nervous. I went to talk to Mizu, but she had vanished. I looked around. I found her finally. She was hugging a short lady, with Red hair. Her right eye was dark blue, but her left looked very unusual. It was pure white. There was no iris, or pupil. It was white. There was two little boys there, too. These boys looked like Mizu, only they had red eyes. They looked like twins to me.

"Princess Ruby will now make a speech," a guard announced.

I stared blankly as the crowd in front of me became silent. I saw Mizu trotting to me in the corner of my eye.

When she approached, she whispered to me, "over there, princess." Mizu pointed to a stage. There was a banner above it, saying, 'Welcome, Princess Ruby!' and there was a microphone stand on the stage.

I blinked at it for a few seconds, then I shook my head back into reality. "Oh, right," I muttered.

I slowly walked across the stage to the microphone. I was never told to make a speech. Maybe the guards thought I would've known what to do before I got into the village? When I was behind the microphone, I breathed in and out. I opened my mouth to say something, then I stopped. I didn't know what to say.
