I decided to keep the dress I was wearing. No one would judge me, anyway. I thought it would be nice for Alien to wear a bowtie. Twinkle would really appreciate me for that.
I didn't know where the courtyard was at all, but as I walked out of my door, I heard the voices of Silver and Goldie coming my way. I also heard the queen and king, my parents.
King Opal was wearing a white fur coat, with a dark blue robe under it. Queen Asmethyst wore a glistening blue dress with a white fur cape, that drooped on the floor because it was so long. They saw me, and my mother walked over to me. My first reaction was to obviously bow, but she told me it wasn't necessary, because she was my mother, after all.
"You're coming to see the stars?" My mother asked me, stroking my cheek gently.
I said yes, but explained how I couldn't find where the courtyard was. My father told me that it would be formal for me to come with him and my family. So I tagged along with my parents, and my sisters.
My father explained how there was more than us in our family. He told me that I had aunts, uncles, grandmothers, grandfathers and cousins that I didn't even know existed. But only a few lived in the castle. I found out that I had three cousins and an aunt that lived in the castle, and that was all. I only had one girl cousin that lived here, and her name was Erin Sakura. But apparently she was with her parents in the village, so that's why I never saw her. The other two cousins were boys, and I found out something very interesting. It was that Deacon was one of the cousins that I had. I wanted to bring up how bad he treated me, but I hesitated. The other cousin was named Albert, but I never saw him because he was exploring the East. Then my father brought up my aunt, Iris Tarooki. Apparently, she was his only sister who was still alive. My father said that he was the only man in his family, and he had 7 sisters. Iris was the 6th oldest, and my father Opal was the 2nd. His other sisters, named Jade, Lapiz, Crystal, Bronza, Silvermist and Diamond, all died from fighting the Dragons Of The North. Iris was the only survivor, and the only woman in his family that wasn't named after a gemstone. My father's parents thought that Iris wasn't worthy enough of a name like a gemstone.
We arrived in the courtyard. I walked across a beautiful sand-like path, then across a sparkly ice bridge. I looked into the pond. There was a beautiful blue fish swimming in it. The fish had white diamonds on its tail, and on its fins.
"That fish is named Amira. She is my pet," my mother said. I smiled, the name was very nice.
I saw Alex and Twinkle, along with Mizu and Gene. They saw me and all waved at me. I waved back, suddenly remembering about Alien. Where was he? I looked down and he was there, his blue self looking up at me. I sighed in relief, and scooped him up. I walked over to my friends.
"Alien looks super cute!" Twinkle said, hugging Alien in her special tight hug.
"Ruby, look at the beautiful stars!" Mizu exclaimed, pointing at the glistening stars shining above us. I was amazed by how beautiful they were.
"They are very beautiful," Alex said. He then looked at Mizu. She didn't seem to notice. His look turned into a gaze. Yuck, I thought.
I suddenly heard a voice say my name -
"Okay, where is this niece Ruby that I have?"
I turned around to see a tall lady looking everywhere but me. Her hair was pure white, and her skin was pale. Although, her eyes were pure purple. She was wearing a brown coat with skinny black jeans and white shoes. She must've been Iris.
"Me, I'm Ruby!" I called. The woman looked at me, and walked over. She didn't smile, not once while approaching me. She must've not been happy to see me.
"Ah, you must be Ruby. Pleasure to meet you. I am your aunt, Iris Tarooki," the lady said , reaching her hand out for a handshake. Her voice was highly posh.
We handshaked, and I told her who I was. She didn't seem very enthusiastic to see her niece she had never seen before. When she walked away to talk to my sisters, Silver and Goldie, she knew them much better. She was having a conversation, laughing and talking. She was smiling. And everything. I started to dislike her, a lot.
This feeling stopped once a man, who looked like a servant, announced that it was time for the shooting stars to appear. The queen and king suggested that I should stand with them, and I can't really refuse to them. So we stood for two minutes until white crystals zoomed across the sky.
Many people were fascinated by the stars, even I was. Alien had never seen them anymore, because whenever it was a shooting star night where we was, they would always come out at 1:00am or something like that, and Alien would be asleep.
I then looked at Mizu, who gazed up at the sky then at Alex. Alex's gaze met hers. They looked like they were in love. Disgusting.

After the whole shooting stars show, I went back to my room to make a little bed for Alien using a shoebox and towels. I thought it would be nice to have a bath, just to relax myself from the day I had.
The hot water on my body felt soothing. I never knew having a shower could be so relaxing and fun. After washing my hair, I got out and wrapped a fluffy towel around me. I dried myself, and slid into a red nightie. I looked into the mirror. My eyes were blue, the same blue as before. It didn't really matter, none of my friends seemed to notice. Maybe it was my imagination.
Alien was already asleep. I wrapped myself in the fluffy duvet I had and snuggled into the pillows. My eyes started to go, and I was in dreamland again
