Nafisa read the letter over and over again. She was thrown into confusion.she could recollect the boy, tall, slender and fair in complexion; the boy who was neatly dressed as the chief speaker of his team and had a very good command of English. he was articulate in his presentation during the debate. What surprised her was that, how could somebody who hardly knew her well suddenly demand for a relationship? By her upbringing, she had never had any male relationship. Her house, her movement and the kind of friends she kept were always checked by her parents. She was not allowed to keep many friends.the only friend close to her was hasiya. Hasiya  had been her friend and classmate since their jss1. She then decided to discuss the matter with her. Incidentally hasiya happened to be in Abuja dat fateful day. without  even seeing the picture attached to the letter, she said she could recognize him anywhere and concluded that sagir was handsome, gentle and brilliant person, which every lady would be happy to associate with him. Nafisa disagreed. How could one at first sight develop feeling for another to that level without any personal contact? How do you know his real intention? She asked. But hasiya waved all her doubts aside. She argued that he might mean well; after all Shakespeare had asserted, "there is no attachment to find mind's construction on the face" As to nafisa's argument that she had never had any affair with a boy before, hasiya countered by saying "there is always a first time for everything" as a girl, sooner or later, she must find her self in that kind of relationship, to love or to be loved.
