Chapter 20 - Redemption

It's now the grand finale of Love Live. 12 school idol groups battling it out to see who is going to be the 2nd Love Live competition winner. The stage has been set. For Honoka and the rest of Muse. This is their shot at redemption. They have put up everything that they got to get into the finals. And winning Love Live will culminate all that they have worked hard for. For the third years this is a fitting goodbye to high school. For Honoka and the rest, it's not only a perfect send-off gift to their senpais. But also a lasting legacy on their part.

Eleven school idol groups have finished performing. Muse the 12th school idol group to perform got the loudest cheers and applause from the audience starts their performance. As soon as they end their number they proceed to the waiting area. Honoka looks out the window. Before the winner can be announced. Chants of ENCORE roared all over the stadium. After a brief change of costume. Muse was out on the stage again. Once again loud cheers welcome them back on stage. Singing their encore song, each member gets a flashback in their minds. Flashbacks of what transpired in their lives. Despite seeing good and bad memories in their minds. They continue to perform and give out the brightest smiles they can show.

Once again lady luck smiled upon them. Muse is declared the second winner of Love Live. All that hard work had finally paid off. But just when they thought that they were going to walk away from the limelight. They achieved their redemption. And by the time the third years have graduated. A third Love Live competition is being organized. And this time they have been officially asked to promote it. And their live will be shot in the US. And the announcement came after the third years have graduated from high school at Otonokizaka.

Once again they will go through the rigorous training regiment. And this time they will be doing it in a foreign country. And they will be encountering the most difficult challenge that will come their way.

As the girls prepare for their US trip. Or should I say Love Live promotional tour. The thought of going through the process of training again lingers on their minds. And soon they will begin to ask themselves if retiring as school idols is the right thing to do.

All nine girls have mixed emotions about the promotional tour. They're so used to doing lives in different locations in Tokyo. And this includes their live on the rooftop of UTX Academy where they performed with A-RISE.

But this time it's different from what they are used to. They'll be doing a live in a foreign country. And it will be simultaneously broadcasted in Japan. And when they get back home. Their resolve would be put to a test.
