Ch 4: Familiar Faces in the Familiar Forest

Y/N POV

After Asia and I had returned with her things and put them away in my room, we got called by Dad to come meet him in his office. That brings us to now.

"So you want to train Asia, Dad?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I mean she has such a high magic potential it'd be a waste for her not to use it. Don't you think?" He explained.

"I'll admit it does make sense. Asia what do you think?" I asked the person in question. I mean it is her we're talking about here, we can't decide everything for her.

Asia took a moment to take all the information in and came to a conclusion. "I think I'd like to give training a shot!" She said looking very determined.

"Well then I'll get you an instructor and you can start tomorrow." Dad told her. I wonder who it'll be? "But for now, how about you take the little lady to get a familiar, Y/N. I'm sure it'd help her."

"I mean the old man does owe me one after I got rid of that pack of tempest wolves that were scaring all the other familiars." I mused. "Sure, why not. Asia how about we go on a field trip?"

"A field trip? What do you mean, and what's a familiar?" She asked.

"I'll explain when we get there, come on!" I tell her while grabbing her hand and teleporting through a magic circle.

Asia POV

"So now will you explain?" I ask Y/N after we got to where I presume is our destination.

"This Asia, is the Familiar Forest. It's where familiars live." Just as I was about to ask what a familiar even is he cut continued. "A familiar is a small companion that are used by devils mostly, but anyone can have one. They're really helpful, plus some are really awesome! Here take a look at mine."

A blue magic circle appeared next to him and a small blue fox-like creature came out.

"This is Glacie, my familiar. He's got some serious skill when it comes to ice magic." He introduced the creature to me.

"So I'll get a familiar too?" I asked.

"Yep, that's what we're here for. Now let's get looking, shall we." Y/N then turned to Glacie. "Think you know where we can find a good familiar for her, Glace?" (Y/N's nickname for Glacie)

Glacie responded with a nod and started walking while we followed along. This continued for half an hour, and while we walked Y/N explained somethings to me. Like Evil Pieces, The Great War and how the guide of the forest owes him a favor after he cleared out some unruly familiars, hence why we could just wander around.

"KYYYYYAAAAA!!!" We stopped as we heard some clearly feminine cries.

"What was that?!" I asked in panic. "Should we help them?!"

"We should see what's happened, we don't want to encounter some enemies. If they need help we'll intervene." Y/N told me in a calm tone, afterwhich we ran to where we heard the noise.

"Look there, devils. And is that slime?" Y/N pointed out from behind a bush, watching the devils without revealing us.

"Wait look there, the one who isn't covered. That's Issei!" I exclaimed, happy to see my first friend again.

I ran down to help my friend but as I did some slime started attacking me too. I could feel it melting my clothes away.

"Huh, Asia?!" Issei exclaimed as he noticed me.

Y/N POV

Damn it Asia, you had to make things difficult didn't you? I need to get her out of there, that Gremory girl has a history of taking people from us already.

I looked back down to the devils and see that now Asia's being covered by Issei... no wait, he's not covering Asia he's covering the slime on her!! What perverted scum!!

"Glacie, I need you to go and get Asia. If I go down I'll get recognised and we'll end up in a fight." I asked my familiar, who nodded and ran down.

However before Glacie even got there the pervert and the slime both got blasted by blue lightning, killing the slime but sadly not the him. I looked up at the source and saw a baby sprite dragon.

Glacie came up to Asia and got her attention. "Oh is it time to go already?" She asked with Glacie nodding in response. "Ok then, Bye Issei!" She waved before mist appeared covering her coming back to me.

"Seriously Asia, please don't do that again." I pleaded. "That girl with red hair has a history of taking people from us. I wouldn't be surprised if she took you, even if you denied her."

"Oh I'm so sorry Y/N, I didn't mean to cause trouble!" She appologised "I was just excited and rushed in without thinking."

"Don't worry, just please think it through next time. Besides one good thing came from it." She looked at me confused "You got a familiar, look beside you."

As she did she noticed the small blue dragon flying next to her. "Oh it's you again. Thanks a lot for getting that thing off me. So do you want to be my familiar?" She asked politely.

The dragon nodded. "Ok then... wait I don't even know how." Asia realised.

"Haha, just put you're hand on it's head and say whatever feels right. Oh and you'll need to give him a name too." I explained.

Asia thought for a moment before coming up with something. "In the name of Asia Argento and those in need, please become my familiar and help me help others." The seal then appeared and disappeared showing it was done. "I'll call you Rassei."

"Epic, now I hate to rush you but let's go home before we have to fight." I told her while creating a magic circle at the same time.

The two of us then left familiars in tow.

A/N

And that's a wrap, how was it?

I wanna ask if you guys would want characters from other Anime and Games to show up in the story. If they did they would be worked into the DxD universe and not just lazily thrown in.
