"I thought she was like seriously interested in me, everything she did was showing it..." Harley explains with a frown on his face and leaning next to my locker

"maybe she needs time... Kelly is very stressed out lately, last period she was with me and she was flipping about the upcoming exams" I put a hand on his shoulder and he nods

"probably is that... how are things with Parker, huh?" he wiggles his brows at me and I close my locker 

"amazing, it's only been three months, almost four but it feels like more you know?" we start walking to our respective classrooms

"awww, you're flying away from the nest!" he exclaims and I punch him on his back "see you at Robotics!"

I enter to Algebra, Peter pats a seat next to him for me to sit, but before sitting I give him a peck on his super soft lips, some people inside noticing the action and whispering to each other. He tries to make the kiss longer but smirk mid the kiss and turn to sit. The classes weirdly went by fast and Peter kissed me goodbye to go to his patrolling thing. I then went to Robotics and entertained myself with Harley's frustration. Finally, one more day of school ended and I could just think about tomorrow's dinner. I catch Happy waiting for me.

"almost birthday girl..." He cheers

"that's me, sixteen years making this world a better place!" I raise my arms in victory and he huffs, we enter the car and he starts the engine "ready for tomorrow? I think my mom ordered from the Mediterranean restaurant you like" I mention and he slightly turns to me

"really?! that's so great, I haven't had a proper meal since last year" he continues driving

"May's going to be there" I add and he abruptly stops the car making me grab the seat

"what? May... May Parker?" he fully turns to look at me

"yeah, the only May we know?"

"why?" he demands

"because Peter is coming and I thought... the more the merrier?" I shrug and his eyes widen

"Jesus... I need to iron my suit then" he murmurs and then continue to drive "tell me you're not inviting that Keener boy"

I lift my head and twist my brows "Harley? I did, but he's going on a little road trip with his mom and sister"

"Good, good... let me tell you this, you were seriously scaring the hell out of me when you told me you were 'something'... and then, and then your mom told me you were friends again... best thing you could do" he nods looking at me through the mirror

"that was last year Happy..." I explain

"yeah and it's amazing because we all can forget it happened!" he starts laughing and I roll my eyes

Oh Happy, just wait for tomorrow

He drops me at the compound and I start heading to my room.

"Hey, hey, hey...." my dad grabs my arm stopping me from walking

I snort scanning the bags under his eyes and the darkness surrounding them

"Hello, dad, nice to see you're out of your lab,"

"Oh please, tell me you are not going to throw at me the same speech your mom told me ten minutes ago" he rolls his eyes and I squeeze his hand

"Of course not, if it was for me I will be staying hours doing my stuff or reading but she doesn't let me" I shot him an empathetically smile
