The period between Christmas and New Year's Eve is a strange time and everyone agrees with it.. 6 days before the 31st arrives but those six days are like The Twilight Zone. No one knows what's happening. I've read that it affects people the same way, time is completely relative so you can wake up at 2 pm and have breakfast and you feel that hours have passed but then you check the time and it's 2:32 pm. There's a technical word to describe it, according to Urban Dictionary it's 'Chrimbo Limbo' and I believe it makes justice to what it feels like.

So let's start with the next day. The 26th, I was up at 10 am something that was weird for me yet I did the usual routine of going to the gym and blah, blah, blah. Then I found Rhdoey sleeping on the couch wearing the pajama I gave him; my mom and dad were nowhere to be seen; no need to question that further. Without much to do, I chose to clean the living room from the scattered gift wrapping papers, and also the dishes because last night no one wanted to do them so I'm taking one for the team or whatever. That day went on very slowly, I had to go outside and patrol; the fastest patrol in my life because people decided not to put a foot on the street so two hours later I return. Peter is as groggy and sleepy as Rhodey, he talks to me inside his bed while I lay on my carpet without doing that much.

Next day I woke up even more late than usual, 11:32 am, routine and blah, blah blah. Then patrolling while talking with Peter who went to the beach to have a brunch picnic with his family, then he infected me the beachy vibes so when I returned to the Facility I went straight to the lap pool. I became a wrinkled raisin because I stayed there more than the recommended, and I ended the day trading memes with MJ.

The next day was when I completely forgot what day it was, later I found out that it was the 28th. Overall, it was more productive than any other day, I can't believe I'm saying it but Harley came to work on his Uni project and he actually worked and he even let me work on my stuff without annoying me; that doesn't mean I didn't annoy him tho. He stayed to eat and it was a very decent afternoon with him talking about Winnie and me talking about Albert Einstein... duh, of course I was talking about Peter.

Finally, the 29th came and I decided to leave the huge Facility and get inside what New York has to offer. I took the subway on my own, I walk through Flushing as well and enjoyed looking the Holiday street stalls, this time I didn't buy super cheap hot dogs so that day I avoided the stomach flu and as always, my day ended up with me taking two little red paper strips and talking about them with Peter. So far so good.

"Wish me luck"

"You got this; you have perfect arguments. They can't say no"

"I know, I know... cool, I'll be going then"

"Wait..." Peter removes the hoodie form his head "I'm going to smuggle my phone to the beach"

"Peter..."

"Tannie..."

"Your Grandma is going to find out"

"Nooooo..." he pauses "I'll be careful and you are going to that park and I just want to know if you arrived safely"

"Okay but you better be careful. I'll text you when I make my way to the subway" I end the video call with a wink and quickly wrap myself in a knee-length black coat and roll the woven white scarf around my neck but before going to the vestibule I turn to the elevator and step inside as I push the button for the labs' floor.

Once there I check the time, 1:10 pm, I quickly stride to his lab and see through the glass walls that my mom is still chatting with him. I knock on the door and both turn their heads to me. I jerk my head for my dad to unlock the door and he crooks his hand for me to step in.
