CHAPTER ONE
"Come on, school!" Melissa, my Mum yells at my sister and I from the hallway. "Allie you have super hearing, I know you can hear me. And while you're at it, wake up your sister."
I was already up and smirked in the mirror. Today was my first day at Swellview High School. Like any normal human being, I was nervous. Actually, the irony, I'm not a normal human being. In fact, I'm not human... at all.I have a secret. I'm actually from another planet, called Krypton. Sounds familiar? Yeah, that's where Superman, my older brother is from, too. It blew up many years ago along with everything that I once knew.
Including my parents.
When I came down to Earth long with my older brother, we were both raised in different families. We reunited after years of being apart. But our families had one thing in common, knowing we were superheroes.
Of course, Clark came out claiming he was Superman, blah, blah, blah. I'm still hidden away, everyone was waiting for me to come out and say something. And of course, everyone knows we're related.
But as Allie Aldaine? I'm practically a no one, which fits in quite well with my secret.
And now I'm here, in Swellview trying to be a normal girl. I wore my signature colours, red and blue. Not the suit, of course, that was only for emergencies. But it's still tucked away under this outfit. Of course, I didn't wear all red and blue, I just wore a blue skirt and a red hair tie.
I had a white t-shirt tucked away and some combat boots. Now, call my fashion weird, but it's my style. And of course, I can't forget my glasses. And like my brother, I work alone. We work sometimes together but other than that, we didn't work for any companies or secret organisations. My hair was tied up in a ponytail and when I'm Supergirl, it's normal down and I don't wear my glasses. These glasses are actually fake, I have supervision too, along with heat vision and freeze breath/heat breath.
Oh, and I fly, too.
I walked into my sister's room who was still sleeping. I sighed. Typical Kira. "Kira lets go." I shoved her. She moaned and rolled over. "Kira. Kira!"
"What? Leave me alone, Mum."
"I'm not Mum." I laughed. "But seriously, we've got to go. School starts in half an hour and we will be late - I repeat, we will be late - because of your lazy ass." She didn't respond. "Kira!"
"Okay!" Kira groaned and got up. "I'll get changed. Sorry if I don't have super speed."
"I don't have super speed." I grinned at her mistake. She rolled her eyes. "I'll be downstairs." I turned on my feet and walked out of my sister's room and downstairs, where Mum and Dad are. "Aren't you supposed to be at work?" I gesture towards my Dad.
"I can't miss my babies going off on their first day of school," Dad tells us and smiled. "You guys grow up so fast."
"I'm 13." I rolled my eyes.
"And she fights criminals," Mum added. "Though I think I should be grounding you."
"She doesn't look 13! She looks like she's 16." It's true, I do look like I'm 16. Perks of being an alien, I guess.
"Speaking of criminal activity, honey I know you said you wanted a break and being a normal teenager but the Walldogs have struck Swellview."
The Walldogs. I remember them, I fought them before. My first lose. "I have to stop them."
"But don't worry!" Mum quickly says. "There are these superheroes in Swellview called Captain Man and Kid Danger, they're basically doing your job. So you don't need to worry."
"They're doing a pretty shitty job and their job." I rolled my eyes. "I know I'm a hypocrite because I didn't catch them last time... but they need some help. Someone who knows their weaknesses."
"You don't know their weaknesses." Dad pointed out and I sighed.
"Let me be cool for a minute, Dad. No, 30 seconds." I rolled my eyes and he smiled.
"There are also 10,000 dollars involved whoever catches the Walldogs." Dad sings.
"I'm not in it for the money, like I've said, a million times." I point out. "Money means nothing when it comes to a reward. The real reward is saving a million lives."
Mum smiled. "We raised you right."I laughed. "We have to go to school now."
"But Kira isn't even up yet." Dad pointed out.
"I am up!" Kira yelled running downstairs and grabbed a banana. "Let's go." She grabbed her bag and I grabbed mine and we rushed out the door, Dad following us behind and we jumped into the car, me calling dibs.
We entered school the next morning and got a lot of stairs from many... different people.
"Hi!" We were approached by an African American girl, who had really cool hair. "I'm Charlotte and I'm from the welcoming committee.""Hello, Charlotte." Kira smiled. She was better at socializing than I was. Sure when I'm Supergirl I have more confidence in speaking to people but when I'm... me, I have zero luck. "I'm Kira and this is my sister, Allie."
She beamed at both of us. "I totally lied I'm not from the welcoming committee, there isn't even such a thing... I just hope we can be friends. It's not often we get new faces."
"Of course we can be friends!" Kira agreed. "Do you mind showing us the office?"
"Yeah, follow me." They then begin to have a conversation about where we came from and where she lived before we got to the office. "The office is right here. I'll see you at lunch?"
We both nodded. "Thanks, Charlotte!" Kira waved and she turned to me. "Come on, you could've said one thing."
I smiled. "I was nervous.""You have two completely different worlds." Kira laughed and shakes her head before we entered the front office. There behind the front desk was a... big lady, with purple glasses. The lady leant forward and looked at us. "May I help you?"
"Hello," Kira started. "We're Kira and Allie Aldaine, we're new here-"
"Ah, yes, our new students!" The lady beamed. "I'm Mrs. Maxwell. Here is your information and class time tables, and there's a diary and a map within the diary, have a wonderful day!"
"Thanks." Kira stuttered, taking our information off her.
"Hey, you look like the girl version of superman." Mrs. Maxwell looked closely at me.
I burst out laughing. "That's a first! I should take that as a compliment. And you look lovely as ever, Mrs. Maxwell! See you around!"
We exit the office quickly and I sighed. "That was close."
"What if more people start to think I look like Clark?" I whisper, anxiety was creeping up on me. "Or worse... Supergirl?""Hey, that's not going to happen," Kira assured me. She gave me a smile. "Not on my watch."
A/N
Hello everyone. I know that she looks like 24 blah blah blah. And she's too "young" to be a superhero yet. Henry's young, so what gives? The girl who is Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) plays Allie, the girl who is Supergirl in this story.
It's confusing, yes. But, I'm liking this idea so far and I really hope you enjoyed it!
