CHAPTER SIX

CHAPTER SIX 

"And then Bianca said she didn't want to be my locker buddy anymore, just because I said I wasn't sure I wanted to be boyfriend or girlfriend." Henry ranted to me and Charlotte as we sit on his couch. "Can you believe that?"

I was reading a book, I was half paying attention to Henry. To be honest, Bianca sounds annoying and toxic. I'd just stay away.

"Yes," Charlotte answered.

"I know!" Henry replied back. His face fell. "Wait, yes?"

"Yeah." Charlotte continued. "I'm on Bianca's side here."

"No," Henry demanded. "That's the wrong side for you to be on. Allie, what about you?"

"I'm not giving an opinion." I say, flipping a page over.

That's when Piper comes in. She walked in wearing this weird glass hat, smiling at us. "What's on your head?" Henry asked in a bored tone.

"A glass hat!" Piper exclaimed. "I just got it."

Charlotte stands up. "Oh! I've heard of those."

"What is a glass hat?" Henry scoffed.

"It's a hat," Piper speaks. "Made of glass."

"A lot of celebrities are wearing." I continued, looking back down at my book.

"Well, congrats on your glass hat. But, Charlotte, Allie, and I are having-"

Piper gasps, cutting off Henry. "Guess what!"

"What?" Henry looked down at her.

"Don't care." Piper rolled her eyes. She then walked off into the kitchen.

Henry and Charlotte sits beside me. I sighed and closed the book. "Okay, I can't believe you're taking Bianca's side."

"Henry." Charlotte started. "You don't share a locker with a girl unless you're really into that girl." Henry's eyes flickered over to me for a second.

"I was into Bianca." Henry defended.

"But... you wanted to leave your options open for..." Charlotte trailed off. She looked at me then looked back at Henry.

Why are they looking at me?

"I... I don't know what you're talking about." Henry stuttered.

"I'm talking about your Walldog friend." Oh. I mentally rolled my eyes. "Veronica? Your pretty little graffiti girl who you like to kiss." 

Henry stands up. "That... that was undercover kissing."

"What?" I hissed, confused. Henry pulled Charlotte and I away from Piper who was in the kitchen.

"I was being Kid Danger and my job was to get information from her." Henry continued.

I crossed my arms. "What information were you trying to find out? What her mouth tasted like?"

"Ah! There's a smudge on my hat!" Piper cries out from the kitchen. We all looked at her. "Henry, where's the glass cleaner!?"

"Uh... check the garage." Henry answers. Piper then runs off to the garage. "Okay, this whole thing about Bianca, not Veronica."

"Uh-huh," Charlotte muttered. "And when was the last time you saw Veronica?"

"I don't know..." Henry trailed off. "Maybe last week." My eyes widen. "Once! Or three times, I don't remember."

Suddenly, Jasper comes in with Kira behind him. "Hey Charlotte, hey Allie!" Kira closed the door behind her and joined Charlotte and I.

"Henry! I've been thinking about your Mum's chilli all day." Jasper rants.

"Okay..."

"Is there any left?" Jasper asked. "Can I have some?"

"Uh, yeah... there's some left in the fridge." Jasper rushed to get them.

"Awesome!"

Henry walked over to us. "You know, I don't think you're being fair here."

"Henry, I know you. You want both girls, you want to have your cake and kisser too." Charlotte informed him.

Henry scrunched up his face. "No. I... I just want... I just want my freedom 'cause this is America."

"Oh, my God." I rolled my eyes.

Kira leant closer to me. "What's he on about?"

"I'll tell you later," I tell her and she nodded.

"What?" Henry hissed.

"Come on." Charlotte continued.

"It's true! And I have the right to go out with more than one girl." Henry ranted. "I think it's even in the constitution."

"Okay, then." Charlotte huffed. "Fine. You want your freedom Bianca and now she gets her freedom from you."

"You know what? You're right." Henry agreed. "It's good Bianca and I broke up, 'cause that way, I get my options, she gets her options, and now I have more room in my locker for... sports balls."

"Did you use my glass hat as a bowl!?" Piper screamed at Jasper. "Where is it!?"

Suddenly, I got a call. I looked down and saw that James Oslen himself was calling me. My eyes widen. Is Clark okay?

I took it outside. "James?"

"Hey, Allie." James' happy attitude made me push away the thought that Clark was hurt. "I just wanted to say I'm in town for the next few days if you wanted to hang out, or catch up."

"Of course! Totally." I grinned. "I'm free always. Kind of."

"So I heard Supergirl was in Swellview too," James tells me in a teasing tone. I blushed.

"Shut up." I laugh. "Where did you want to meet?"

"I don't know." James tells me. "I was kind of expecting a suggestion from the girl who lives in Swellview."

"Oh, right," I mumbled. "Uh, how about... there's this little Coffee Shop, called Coffee, very original, I know. I could meet you there anyday. Just tell me the time."

"Sure will." James states. "See you soon, sis."

"Bye!" I beamed and he hangs up. Kira walked out the door.

"Who was that?" She asked.

"No one." I lied, deciding that I wanted to see James myself. Kira can see James another time, right?

"I told them we were leaving now. So, frozen yogurt?" I pushed my glasses forward, grinning.

I put a hand on my heart. "You know how to win over a girls heart."




When I was at the first public restroom opening ceremony, some things happened. Like, Bianca hitting on the new guy, Blake. Henry got jealous.

Ray got beaten up by Mad Granny, who apparently always shows up to every event Ray goes to and beats the crap out of him.

Now, we - or, Ray was trying to figure out who the Mad Granny was in the Man Cave.

"See what we learnt there, is that... when an old lady, wants to beat me, and your not paying attention." I heard Ray say, I looked up. "What happens to old Ray?"

"You get beaten," Henry muttered.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" Ray put one hand up to his ear. Henry, Kira, Charlotte and I all lounge around on the couch while Ray was pacing around.

"You get beaten," Henry says louder.

"I get beaten yeah!" Ray shouts. He unpaused the slow motion video of Mad Granny beating Ray.

"And the beat goes on," Kira speaks, almost in a sarcastic tone.

Henry jumps up and walks over to the controls. "You know, Henry. When I picked you as my sidekick, it was 'cause I thought I could count on you to be by my side. I mean, it's in the name. Side-kick. Why'd you let me down?"

"'Cause... I saw Bianca there." Henry confessed.

"Bianca?" Ray raised an eyebrow. "What that girl you used to go out with was there yesterday with that super handsome new guy?"

"He's not super handsome." Henry defended.

"I was told he was super handsome," Ray tells him.

"Who told you that?" Henry demanded. Ray turned his head towards Kira and Charlotte. Henry gave them a "what the hell" look.

I sipped my slurpee.

"Wait, I thought Bianca got cast in that related show Kids in The Woods," Ray recalls as he sits down on the couch.

"No! That was Chloe." Henry corrected. My eyes widen. How many girls has he been with? I haven't even been out with a single guy.

"Another girl Henry use to like." Charlotte shared, smiling.

"Hey! You can't blame me for the Chloe thing." Henry said. "She's the one that left me for the Woods."

"Fine." Charlotte agreed. "You're the one that messed things up with Bianca."

Henry sighed. "I'm over Bianca."

"Then why do you care she's with another guy?" Kira blurted out.

"Because I love her!" Henry cried out, making my heart hammer against my chest. Henry loves her? "What! My life is hard."

"You know what? I don't care what girl or girls you wanna hang out with." Ray walked over to Henry. "I mean, look. Nobody knows the joy of many girls than I do. But you're Kid Danger, you have a responsibility, don't let me down again."

Ray then turned and left to go to another room. Henry sighed. "All right. I know what I'm going to do."

"What?" Charlotte asked.

"I'm going to find Bianca and I'm going to tell her that I love her." Henry declared.

"Good."

"I'm gonna." Henry nods confidently. Kira looked over at me and gave me a small smile. She pats my thigh. I gave her a "what" look.

"Right after you tell that Walldog girl you're not going to see her anymore," Charlotte added and Henry groans, falling on the ground dramatically.

"What?" Kira sighs as we all walked over to him.

"I can't tell Veronica I don't want to see her anymore." Henry shares. I sit on the ground next to him.

"Why can't you?" I asked. Charlotte and Kira sat either side of me. 

Henry sighed and sat up. "'Cause if I do then she'll try to kiss me and that's where my brain goes dumb," Henry explained. 

"All right." Charlotte sighed. "Give me your wrist." Henry's wrist fell into Charlotte's hand. "Why are you holding my-" Charlotte then went and smacked him, making him cry out. I couldn't help but chuckle. 

"You slapped me with my own hand!"

"Yeah, now man up." Charlotte scowled at him. "Go tell Veronica you're done with her, so you can get Bianca back before it's too late!" 

Henry nodded. "Okay. Or... maybe I can just-" Charlotte slapped Henry's face again and he lets out a small cry. "Ow! All right." He then jumped up and walked to the elevator. I laughed. "Don't laugh at my pain!"
