It's been awhile since Peko returned with the pillows and blankets. Now I was just leaning back against the wall with Peko meditating and Fuyuhiko leaning against a wall on the other side of the locker room. His eyes seemed shut as he seemed to be deep in thought.

Though he wasn't meditating like Peko, Fuyuhiko clearly was waiting for something. Most likely he was waiting on me to step out of line so he can fight me. I sighed and lazily leaned my head to the side as Fuyuhiko opened an eye. His gaze met my own.

Fuyuhiko: Yo, (YN).
(YN): Yes?
Fuyuhiko: Tell me something. What the hell did you do to get here?
(YN): As in..?
Fuyuhiko: What exactly happened for you to be separated from your group?
(YN): I..
Peko: He became a blackened, Young Master.
Fuyuhiko: How do you know?
Peko: I recall him saying as much. Even so, I can see it in his eyes. A tremendous amount of guilt.

She.. was right. I sighed and raised my head to meet the two.

(YN): I... accidentally killed a friend.. in their own fit of rage, he managed to hit and break his neck on a bench in the changing room.. I tried to calm him down, but he didn't listen to me and just tried to attack me..
Fuyuhiko:... It was self defense?
(YN): If you can call it that..

As I lowered my head, Fuyuhiko sighed in irritation.

Fuyuhiko: So basically, some idiot tried to attack you. You protected yourself and because of that, he broke his neck?

I could only nod briefly as I felt my shoulders begin to grow weaker, now draping my arms around my knees as Fuyuhiko looked at me.

Fuyuhiko: Knock it off with the sad shit. It was an accident.
(YN): It's.. my fault..
Peko: Not in the way you think it is.
(YN): I killed him..
Fuyuhiko: If you really wanna be wrong, then go ahead. I don't give a damn either way.
(YN):... It is my fault.
Fuyuhiko: No it isn't.
(YN): It is.
Fuyuhiko: Dumbass, It really isn't.
(YN): Then who's fault is it?
Fuyuhiko: The one who got himself killed!
(YN): But I killed him!
Fuyuhiko: But you didn't! Why can't you understand that?!
(YN): BECAUSE I'D FORGET THE ONES WHO DIED, MONDO!...

After a moment, Fuyuhiko's patience seemed to be wavering by my silence.

Fuyuhiko:... That's his name?
(YN):..shut up.
Peko: Watch your tongue when speaking to Young Master.
Fuyuhiko: Peko, it's fine.

Peko nodded briefly before Fuyuhiko sighed. His gaze returned to me as he took a moment to think of words to say.

Fuyuhiko: If you're really going to blame yourself, I can't stop you.
(YN): alright..
Peko: Young Master, May I say something?
Fuyuhiko: You don't gotta ask me. Go ahead.
Peko: Thank you. Now, (YN).

The swords woman turned to me. Her piercing red eyes seemingly softened as I stared back, not too phased by her gaze.

Peko: Don't allow this to weigh you down. You can use this as a way to push everyone else from harms way.

I looked down at my hand and sighed as I clenched it. Peko noticed my inner conflict and gave me her full attention.

Peko: That feeling that you're struggling with. Use its strength to help you protect the ones who need it. It's okay to feel guilt, regardless of if you're to blame. But for the sake of everyone, use your guilt to help people.
(YN):... I.. I'll try.
Fuyuhiko: You seriously mean to tell me that you could have said all that, but remained silent?
Peko: You, My master, were speaking. I couldn't allow myself to interrupt you.

As Fuyuhiko began to shout at Peko in a tired fit, I sighed and chuckled to myself as I tried to change the topic.

(YN): You two seem close, huh?
Fuyuhiko: Huh? Of course we are. I had to pull her dumbass out from some really stupid shit before we got into this hell hole.
Peko: Indeed. Young Master truly has given my life worth.
(YN): Uhm.. Can you explain that?
Fuyuhiko: Outside of school, she is my body guard. We grew up together. Unfortunately, she never got the memo that I'd like for her to act like a normal student.
Peko: My priority is to protect you, Young Master.

Fuyuhiko sighed in irritation. From what I can tell, they have had this conversation multiple times, but never reached a distinct conclusion. As I shifted slightly to get more comfortable, Peko readied her blade and glared at me as though I was going to make a move against them.

Fuyuhiko: Calm down, idiot.
(YN): She seems tense.
Fuyuhiko: She thinks that you'll kick our asses again. I could have taken you down.
(YN): I'm.. sure you could.
Fuyuhiko: Hey! Don't fuck with me!

After a bit of time had passed with the three of us talking, Fuyuhiko gave Peko permission to go to sleep. Though the request seemed to have irritated him.

Fuyuhiko: What a Pain.. she can't even sleep without permission.
(YN): Must be hard. You want her to be her own person, but she is too focused on you.
Fuyuhiko:.. How did you?-
(YN): I'm more perceptive then I'm given credit for.

As he groaned and laid back in his makeshift bed, which had even more pillows then Peko's, he stared up at the ceiling as he held his hands behind his head.

Fuyuhiko:... If you tell anyone, I'll kick your ass.
(YN): My lips are sealed.
Fuyuhiko: I love her. As more then just a friend. And yet her dumbass just sees herself as a tool to be used... I want her to see herself in the way I do.
(YN): As more then just a sword?
Fuyuhiko: Exactly. But she is too caught up in protecting me, she doesn't even take time to herself. It irritates the hell out of me how she acts like she doesn't matter. Then when I get pissed off, she comforts me.
(YN): I see.. and she knows this?
Fuyuhiko: I doubt she does. If she did, she probably would stop calling me "Young Master". It pisses me off.
(YN): I can see why.. honestly, I thought it was some kinky stuff when I first heard her call you that.
Fuyuhiko: Knock that shit off. We're in high school! We can't go doing that.

I nodded and chuckled. After some time of just talking, I decided I would tuck myself to sleep, leaving Fuyuhiko to his thoughts.

He tossed and turned on his bed and sighed, staring at the ceiling again as his mind continued to think... after a moment, he helped himself out of his bed and grabbed a blanket and two pillows, making his way to Peko's sleeping form. He rested a blanket down on her body and gently raised her head from the cold surface of the floor.

Unbeknownst to him, Peko woke up as he moved her. Seeing her young master calmed her down as she barely kept an eye opened, staring at her young master as he rested a pillow under her head and rested her on it, sighing as he put another pillow in front of her to hug.

Fuyuhiko: Idiot...

As he turned away and back to his own bed, Peko held the pillow tightly as she smiled with a feeling content...
