Chapter Five

Meji Era

'Am I really lost ', Naga asked . She looked around and she was really lost. She stood for some minutes contemplating on what to do until she heard a howl and she panicked the howl sounded more like a monster than a wolf, she wouldn't want to be eaten alive not yet she still wanted to go home. She started walking as fast as she could, the trees seem to be talking whispering in fact she was already covered with goose bumps she walked on and on until she saw smoke from what looks like a village. She didn't need anybody to tell her she needed to be at the village for safety purpose. She walked as her legs could carry her till she got to the village. She was taken back by the sight in front of her. The people in front of her were dressed in kimono a Japanese worn only in the Meji Era, they were whispering words she couldn't comprehend and they were staring at her. Why wouldn't they she was so different from them, she was wearing a black tight jeans trouser and a white hoody her  haired pulled back in a pony tail with an Alice band. Some strands have already escaped and she cared less. Right now she was hungry and tired and what she needed was food and rest not some foreign people staring at her like she was a ghost. She stood there thinking of what to do and taking in her environment when a young lady walked up to her. The young lady looked at her for some minutes and spoke in ancient Japanese thanks to history she was able to hear what the lady was saying. The lady was addressing her as a goddess. Hello people stop staring at me am tired and hungry and I need food and rest I am not a ghost. She screamed inside of her. When she didn't respond the lady, the lady diverted to the new Japanese "who are you ", she asked ." My name is Naga and you are", "Toshiro",the lady said. " Well hi Toshiro I am lost and would like to find my way home but before then am a bit hungry and tired and its kind of getting late, can I stay here for the night I would be gone in the morning", Naga said. The lady was in deep thoughts for some minutes before she replied "you are welcome to stay in our humble village, please follow me". Naga nodded and followed her, she was glad she could get away from the inquestive  eyes.
