告别。┃⠀ FAREFARREN

later that day, when julia stepped into campus, her heart was beating fast.

she ended up not studying at all, instead, she thought about jungkook instead. why does it seem like she's falling less and less for him?

she remembered a few months ago, february fourteenth, valentine's day. julia was standing outside jungkook's classroom, holding a card on her left hand and a rose on the other. it was simple compared to the other girls' gifts for him, jewels, bracelets, chocolates, and such.

jungkook walked out of the room, and as soon as he did, julia approached him. it's now, or never. "um h-hey jungkook." julia greets. jungkook looked at her from head to toe, and then scoffed. "step aside."

"w-wait! accept this please—" julia handed her gift to jungkook but all he did was slap her hand away. "get that away from me. you're so annoying,"

that night, she cried her heart out. she was badly hurt, yes. he was the reason why she was hurting badly.

jungkook neglects julia often. making fun of her looks, telling her to fuck off, leaving her to be bullied by his friends. if anything, he doesn't deserve julia.

so earlier, she contemplated whether or not she will stop her nonsense.

stop her stupid fantasies, her stupid daydreams about jungkook reciprocating her feelings.

but before that, she wanted to confess once again.

she took a deep breath. there is no way she is doing that in real life. not ever.

she fished out her phone from her pocket, typed in some digits and dialled the typed number. she waited for a few minutes, and when there was noone who answered, she called again.

in the second try, he answered. "hey? jungkook?"

the other line was quiet, but not for long. "what is it? i don't have time for you."

his second line felt like a stab in the chest. nevertheless, she smiled. "is there any chance for you to like me back?"

silence. the defeaning silence in both lines, before he could reply.

"no, you're.. ugly," jungkook said, then laughter dominated in the other line. "ha! serves her right." julia recognized it as hyori's voice.

after that line, she felt her heart tatter. her chest was hurting, almost as if she was suffocating. she was in mágoa. she was in extreme pain, however, she felt numb.

"ah, okay."

she ended the call.

julia stood in the bench in their campus, sitting alone. she let the air mess with hair, letting a few strands hang loose. the coldness of the day made her feel worse.

what was she expecting?

maybe, just maybe.. it's the time to let go?
