Life is much quieter for people with small quirks, no bad guys to fight, nothing world ending for you to fix. You think to yourself as you sigh.

"-But it's sooooo boring!" You stretch dramatically.

It wasn't that you weren't grateful for heroes or happy with your life, but sometimes you wondered if there was more to life than beautiful flowers, not that you could escape it. You quirk was 'Flower bed head' as your family so graciously dubbed it, thanks to your habitually messy hair and random assortment of flowers that would bloom in it. The quirk was pretty, but utterly useless in a fight. Other than that you were just a normal young woman, destined for a boring, normal, not eventful at all life. Peachy. Today was like any other, go to college, come home, work a evening shift at your family's flower shop. No one had come in this evening and were about to close up shop, but as you were leaving the counter, the scariest man you had ever seen walks in. The air turned cold as he slowly and casually started browsing the store. His hood was up, so you couldn't get a good look at his face. Not that it mattered as you soon notice his unkept grey hair covered most of it as well. He was tall and lean as a twig. He didn't say anything, but he seemed on edge. You didn't feel like you should bother him, yet it was your job. You mustered up your best customer service face and walked over quietly to him. Standing next to him the dark aura around him seemed almost tangible.

"Um hello sir, what are you looking for today? There's a sale on newly bloomed tulips!" You greeted cheerfully.

The man turned to you unenthused, it was then you saw his harsh gaze and part of his face, it seemed to have a mix of scratches and dry skin. The scary young man said nothing only stared at you. Y/n put on a brave face,

"I can find you plants that give a soothing presence? Or maybe sunflowers will help liven up your day?" You said cheerily.

"The prettiest." The man finally said.

You gave him a confused look.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder sir, any flower can be the most beautiful to someone."

Y/n turned to the young man, who was now fully facing her. He was definitely a head taller than her.

She gave him a thoughtful glance. "Maybe Wisteria flowers with blue tulips as an accent, is a small bouquet fine?"

The man sullenly nodded. "Fine."

You prepare the small bouquet and think hard of the flower you wanted suddenly a couple Wisteria pooped atop your head. The man seemed intrigued for only a moment. Everyone liked that little trick. Putting the finished bouquet on the registers counter the man followed. He looked at it, yet didn't so much as smile.

"This will do." He said plainly.

You were ringing up the price when you stopped yourself.

"Excuse me, I don't mean to pry, but you look terribly sad. I don't know what happened sir, I'm sure one day you'll see color in the world again."

He seemed confused. He scratched lightly on his neck. "What do you mean?"

You blushed a little, embarrassed. "My mom told me that saying before she passed away. I think it means you'll feel better one day."

He paid quietly, the scary atmosphere seemed gone. He started to leave, before he stopped. "No miss, I don't think I'll ever see colors in the world again....thanks." And like a scary apparition he disappeared.

You blinked a bit. Was he for real? Closing up shop you felt saddened, it had been awhile since you talked about your mother.
