Chapter 12 Roma

EDEN POV

Earl and I were on our way to the police station. This was absurd! I wasn't a criminal nor a thief. Being treated like one was a crime on its own.
Thankfully there were no handcuffs on me. I listened and did everything complying with everything they said. Earl, on the other hand, was fussing and puffing all the way there. I couldn't blame him. We did nothing wrong. If Ross hadn't reported the boat stolen then why were we in trouble?

"Excuse me, officer, this is unjust I demand to know why we are being arrested?!" I had to ask.

"Well, for starters taking a boat that is not yours is not on your name is called stealing, and second, you were in the middle of the ocean just stationed there that is not allowed unless you are a licensed fisherman or a research scientist for NOAA or ocean planet or  something like that, you can't do that"
The officer said.

I never even thought of that. I guess he was right. He had a point. Now, what though?

"Are we being arrested then?" I was almost afraid to ask.

"Well, that depends on Mr. Lyner and if he wishes to press charges in the meantime you will wait in a cell"

"What?! No please!" I never begged in my entire life but this was too much. I have never been arrested up until now. They had already taken Earl to a cell somewhere and now me. My entire life depended on Ross it seemed. I always got myself in some sort of trouble that he somehow had to get me out of. No wonder he thought me immature.

One police guy took me to a cell. Thank God it was empty.

"Wait here until someone comes and pays your bail and takes you out," the policeman said. 

But what if Ross didn't take me out? what if he left me here as payback for taking his boat without permission. Will I have a criminal record now because of this? It was all too scary to think about. I waited and waited. What will Ross say? will he even come? I had no idea. I just closed my eyes and prayed for a miracle. 

ROSS POV

I should leave her ass in jail! how dare she try to leave me? what the hell was she doing in the middle of the ocean at that time and with Earl!! what else could I do to Earl that I hadn't done already?! I was beyond pissed. I didn't know how to control my anger and if I go to jail and see her right away with this anger that I had it was going to be worse. No, I wasn't going to go. I will send Rock and Rhino and meet them at hell land, and if blood was going to be spilled today I rather it be there than at my house. 

EDEN POV

After about an hour or probably more my cell opened. "Am I free?" was the first thing I asked the police officer but he said nothing. He led me into the sheriff's office and I almost froze. It wasn't Ross it was Rock and another guy that was equally as huge as Earl. The sheriff waved me inside.

"You are free to go, Miss Alicante, lucky for you Mr. Lyner is not pressing charges and your bail has been paid." 

"Will I have a criminal record?" I just had to ask.

"Since no charges were pressed. No, you will not. If I were you I would thank Mr. Lyner for his kindness because if It was me you were stealing such an expensive boat like that from, I will have you sent to jail 20 times over" He said laughing but I didn't take it as a joke at all. This was serious. 

"what about Earl?" I asked. I didn't see him there with me. 

"Worry about yourself young lady," the policeman said.

"Yeah is best if you worry about yourself you are going to need to worry, keep walking," Rock said grabbing me by my right elbow and leading me out.
