Chapter 4

Jai's POV

"Boys! Come down!" I heard mum call.

Today was the day that we met our new neighbours. They seemed really important because mum had gone to school with one of them. She had two children.

One is a girl the same age as us and the other was a boy who was nore around Beau's age. That's all mum knew. And the fact that they were from England.

"Oh my god. I'm moments away from meeting my possible future wife!" Said my older brother Beau.

Beau's obsessed with British accents you see.

"Shut the hell up Beau. Who'd go out with you. It's me who has the good looks in the family." Replied Luke, my other older brother.

"Both of you can shut up. Luke, we're twins so your statement is invalid. Plus maybe this girl isn't even that hot." I said to shut them both up.

"Well let's go downstairs and see." Beau said as he left the room, shortly followed by Luke and I.

We got to the bottom of the stairs and my eyes searched the room untill they landed on her.

Damn. She was beautiful.

Mum introduced us all to eachother before we were sent into the other room to get to know eachother. Her name was Emily. It was gorgeous just like her.

Beau, being the dickhead he is, swooped in to make his move. You could tell he liked her. Luke on the other hand didn't look like he did though.

"Hey, I'm Beau and I've already graduated but you're gonna go to Penola right?" Beau asked her.

"Um yh I think so." She said. Her voice was beautiful too. Beau seemed to think the same thing I guess.

"God. Your accent." Beau said.

Emily just looked down at her feet as she blushed. How much hotter could she get.

"Don't mind Beau. He's kind of obsessed with British accents. I'm Luke by the way and I go to Penola too. So I can be like your guide around school if you want." Luke said.

Now was my time to step in if I ever wanted a chance with her.

"Hey, I'm Jai. You can probably guess I go to Penola too." I said with a smile.

"Err-um hi" She said back. I smiled at her awkwardness as she blushed again. It was cute.

I wanted to get to know her better. Without these two idiots getting in my way.

"Do you want me to show you around town a bit? We could go past the school as well so you know for tomorrow. " I offered, mentally praying she'd say yes.

Tomorrow was the first day of school after the holidays. Maybe for once this would be the year that school would actually be something to look forward to.

"That would be really good thanks." She said without looking up at me.

I smiled, pleased with her answer "Ok do you just wanna go tell our mum's first?" I asked her.

"Yh we should" She said as I lead her out of the room and into the living room.

"Hey mum is it ok if I just show Emily around town?" I politely asked mum. Sometimes she just couldn't resist her youngest son.

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea doesn't it Anne?" She turned to Emily's mum.

"Yes it does. Emily I won't be here when you come back, me and Gina are going out for lunch and then shopping so I'll be back home at around 7-ish?" She aaked muk and she nodded in agreement.

"Oh actually we were going to go watch that movie so maybe 10." Mum said.

"Yh ok. Your brother won't be home either so maybe you could come over here untill I'm back if you don't want to Stay home alone." Emily's mum said.

"Ok" Emily replied.

This was amazing. I could ask to come over to keep her conpany and maybe even make a move and ask her out.

"Shall we go?" I asked her.

"Yh ok" she replied as I took her hand and led her out.

I felt sparks as my hand touched her cool skin.

We got outside and shut the door.

Don't mess this up Jye. I thought to myself as we started down the steps.
