"they are the builders" Fox said nodding towards the group of guys fighting each other in a circle "the doctors" he signaled to the group that were debating with each other

I looked between all the groups before saying "which one are you?"

"your just full of questions aren't you" Dylan laughed walking over "I'm one of the builders and this ginger nut is a gardener"

I raised an eyebrow at Dylan before pointing to my hair "don't call a red head a ginger" I warned "it's like playing with fire"

"ouch! New girl got guts" the dark blonde from earlier said

"new girl gotta name" a curly black haired girl snapped to the blonde "Alice" she hit the blonds head before saying "and idiot here is Sandy"

"Abby" I said

"finally another girl" Alice laughed "was starting to get sick of all the lads"

"you'll never get sick of us" Sandy laughed putting a arm around her shoulders "and I'm one of the cooks"

"I'm a gardener" Alice said pushing him off of her

I nodded before Fox moved on to show me the next group "they are the gardeners" he pointed over to the next group that were cutting and cooking food "the cooks"

We walked over to the Dave "and you already know that I'm the co leader" Fox smiled

"how did we all get here?" I asked

"once a month a box comes up with supplies for us and a new person" Fox explained "this time two came"

"something's wrong" a young light brown haired boy said his gray eyes full of fear

"Theo what's wrong?" Dave asked

"it's the boy" Theo said

We all ran into the hut to see a dark haired boy slowly wake up. When he did his face went pale before clutching his hand in pain. I saw Fox was holding his at the same time as well. Then mine started at me

"what's-" Dave started but then held his own hand

I looked around to see everyone holding their left hand in pain. I looked at the new guy as his face went from pain to confusion

"something's not right" I whispered

Fox looked at me as he removed his right hand from his left. On the back of his back was a picture of a map. I looked at him as I removed mine to see wings on it. Dylan was already trying to get his off

"it's something like a tattoo" he said confused

I turned over my hand to see on my wrist written 'only you can free them'. Fox looked at it before turning over his to see 'you know the way'.

"is this a sick joke!?" the new guy yelled looking at his hand

I looked at Fox and back to the new guy "I wish it was" I said

"everyone leave" Dave commanded "not you Abby"

I looked at him confused as the rest left "why me?" I asked

"who are you!?" he yelled "where am I!?"

"are you sure you don't know him?" Fox asked sarcastically

"just cause I was like any other person and asked questions!" I huffed

We all turned back to the boy "I'm Fox" Fox said "he's Dave and she's-"

"Abby I know" he said

"you know her?" Dave asked

"I remember her face and- and-" then he started crying "you-you were drowning"

I walked over to him "drowning?" I asked

"yes in a capsule type of thing" he cried

I got a look of his hand and saw a compass on it "can I see your hand?" I asked

He looked at me confused before letting me. I looked at his wrist 'not all who wander are lost'. I looked up at Fox and Dave

"I think they want us to leave" I whisper

Dave looked down at his hand seeing a box with a X in it. He looked at his wrist before saying "sometimes the strongest people don't survive"

Fox looked at him shocked before looking to the ground "it wants me dead" Dave whispered "the maze wants me dead..."

The new guy looked at me "I could have saved you" he said

I showed him the quote on my wrist "they would have needed me anyway" I said

Will walked in "I heard that he woke up" he glared over at me

I walked over to him and grabbed his hand "what the hell!" he said

"listen I just need to put this all together okay!" I said looking at the symbol "a code?" I questioned looking at the numbers again "seven, one, five, two, six, four, eight and three"

I looked at his wrist "nothing" I whispered

"what?" Fox asked

"there's nothing other than the numbers" I said shocked

"we need to check everyone else" Dave said

Will, Fox and I nodded as the new guy just looked at all of us confused

"who's that?" he asked

"that is Will" Fox said

"and I can introduce myself" Will mumbled annoyed

"yeah right" I mumbled

"Fox, Will you are to check everyone" Dave said "Abby you are to stay here with him"

I nodded and once they left I sat on the bed I woke up in. He looked at me confused as I sat

"why are we here?" he asked

"nobody knows" I sighed "but I think it's like a test"

"who am I?" he asked

I looked into his green eyes "you might remember your name but some people don't like Fox" I said "I was lucky"

"what's that?" he asked pointing at the wings on my hand

"we just got them" I said "I-I don't know why we have them though..."

New guy was almost asleep when I heared someone walking near the hut

"Abby you want to go to sleep?" Dylan asked walking into the room "I'll set up your hammock"

"thanks Dylan" I said

"and Abby" he said

"yeah" I said as I walked near the door

"five of them have the same one as Dave..." he said

I left my shoulders drop. I couldn't stop it. We needed to leave, and fast. Before anyone can get hurt...
