Minjeong's POV

After trying to calm down my wildly beating heart, Namjoon sat up straightly as I leaned away from him too.

"I'm sorry," he apologized, as I looked up to him.

"I-it's fine," I assured, my hand still on my chest, feeling my heartbeat.

"I was just trying not to make someone I know acknowledge my presence here," he said, still looking around to see if that person he's talking about is still around.

"Who?"

"It's just someone I know. It's not important at all," he said. "Let's just eat,"

He continued eating, as I looked all over the place to look for the person Namjoon was trying to avoid.

I just shrugged it off, before looking back at the guy in front of me.

Who could that person he was avoiding possibly be?

After spending some time together with each other, now he is walking me home, and despite my apartment being only a block away from Domino's, the journey home somehow felt longer.

"It was my ex-girlfriend," he spoke out of the blue, as I turned my head to him.

"Who?"

"The one I was avoiding," he said.

"Oh," I muttered shortly, before asking him, "But why?"

"I don't know, it's just...I'm not ready to meet her...yet," he sighed. "After everything that happened,"

"If my question isn't too much for you, um, why did you guys broke up?", I asked, and he was silent for a few moments.

"I broke up with her because I didn't think I deserve her. I mean, she's like the girl that everyone adores, well-known, basically she's everyone's favourite person. While I'm just an average person, and I don't find myself attractive at all so I'm not surprised that others judged our relationship. If I were in their shoes I would judge myself too," he smiled sadly.

"So, you just broke up with her?", I asked as he nodded. "What happened then?"

"After we graduated from high school, she moved to the States and that was the last time I saw her."

"Until today you met her again,"

"Yeah,"

"Do you still love her?"

He stopped walking, as he looked at me, his eyes piercing deeply into my soul. A warm smile formed on his lips, his dimples poking through his cheeks.

"Not anymore, because I already had my eyes on someone."

"Okay...", I said, and continued walking, and not long after, we are now standing right in front of my front door.

I turned around, as he smiled at me. "Are we going to bid our goodbyes again?", he joked as I chuckled at him.

"See you tomorrow," I said, waving my hand at him. He nodded, and walked away, as I watched him making his way out of the hallway.

I typed in the passcode to my door, and when I was about to walk in, I heard a very familiar voice calling out for me.

"Yah,"

I turned around to see Yeonjun standing right in front of me, holding a pizza box in his right hand.

I gave him a smile, before stepping aside to make way for him. "Come in," I said, as he gladly walked into my apartment.

He slumped down onto my couch, before getting back up, heading towards my kitchen, and came back with a big bottle of Pepsi and two empty glasses.

"You really act like you own the place whenever you're here," I commented as he just laughed, and sat next to me.

"Anyway, I bumped into Namjoon when I was on my way here. Is there something going on between the two of you?"

"What–no, he overheard me talking to you on the phone about my crave for pizza. So he asked if I want to grab a pizza with him so we did. And that's it," I said.

"Why are you acting like I'm going to make a huge fuss about it?", he asked, as I gulped, avoiding his gaze.

"Thanks for the pizza," I said, and opened the pizza box.

-------------------------------------------------

I just arrived at school, as I made my way towards my locker, and opened my locker to grab my books.

But something caught my eye beforehand, as I grabbed it, looking at it thoroughly.

"A choco jar?", I muttered to myself, before realizing that there's a carton of full cream milk in my locker.

I looked at the carton of milk, and there was a small sticky note pasted on it.

'you skipped your breakfast just now, didn't you? don't do that. breakfast is important!!!'

There was a little oval shape with a tiny heart drawn in it below the notes, which kind of looked like an egg.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, as I looked around to see if the person who sent these things to me is still around.

"Whatever," I shrugged it off, and started sipping on the milk after attaching its straw.

I made my way towards my class with my Physics textbook in my hands, and as soon as I walked in, Mijoo is already sitting in my seat.

"Finally, you're here.", she said as I placed my books and the choco jar onto the table, hanging my bag against the hook at its side.

"Who are you?", I spoke without looking at her.

"Yah, that's quite harsh.", she pouted. "Anyway, I miss you so much! We haven't seen each other for like a week!", she said, hugging my arm while snuggling closer to me.

"And that's because all you do is go on a date with your boyfriend,"

"But you left me to go on dates with your boyfriend Yeonjun too!", she argued.

"Yah, he's not my boyfriend. And we didn't go to any dates,"

"Lying ass bitch! I saw those pictures of you that he posted on Instagram yesterday. Anyway, you look like a dead frog when you were so exhausted.", she laughed.

I pushed her head away from my shoulder after hearing her comment. "I hate you," I said to her.

"You know what, we should go on a double date. Me with Jimin, and you with Yeonjun.", she suggested.

"But he is not even my boyfriend," I sighed.

"But you love him, don't you?"

"Well...yeah, I do but–Namjoon?", I stopped halfway my sentence, as I noticed Namjoon standing right in front of me, his eyes staring blankly at the floor.

He didn't hear me, so I called him again, "Yah, Kim Namjoon.", and only then, he looked up to me.

"Oh? Ah, yes?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Nothing. I was just–I'll just go back to class," he said and dashed out of my class, heading back to his class.

That's so...weird of him.
