Minjeong's POV
I was throwing my backpack over my shoulder when I heard a knock on my door, as I quickly head out of my apartment to see Yeonjun standing before me.
"Come on! We're late!", Yeonjun said, and grabbed my hand, as we both ran to school.
When we arrived, the bus was just about to leave, but we managed to stop the bus, as we both get in.
Mrs. Lee was taking the attendance by the time we get into the bus. She turned around, and sighed in relief, "Thank god, Jeon Minjeong you're here. Shin Taehee, you can go back to your previous seat now that our vice president is here," Mrs. Lee instructed, and the girl who was sitting next to Namjoon huffed in annoyance while making her way back to her seat.
"Vice...president?", I questioned, as Mrs. Lee turned her head to me.
"Yes, Namjoon is the president of the students who's joining this camp, and you'll the vice president. Now go take your seat next to Kim Namjoon,"
I bowed slightly to Mrs. Lee, as I made my way to the very front seat, where Namjoon is sitting next to the window.
We immediately head to the camping site, and the bus ride took longer than I thought.
I glanced at Namjoon next to me, and he had his airpods on, looking out to the window while slightly bopping to his music.
I unknowingly stared at him, and that is when my phone vibrated, as I unlocked it, and tap on the newly received message from Yeonjun.
yeonjunie <3: we didn't get to sit together :(
miniminjeong: it's okay we'll walk around together later when we reach the camping site
yeonjunie <3: alright
yeonjunie <3: i love you.miniminjeong: you could've typed that in one message.
yeonjunie <3: i know
yeonjunie <3: but i just want to type it that way :)"Okay, kids. We're here," Mrs. Lee announced, as I looked back at my phone screen.
yeonjunie <3: omg omg omg we're here! can't wait to walk around with you <3
I left Yeonjun's message on seen, as I turned around to see him who's sitting right behind me.
He smiled sweetly at me, as he playfully winked at me. I giggled at his behaviour, and he mouthed 'i love you' at me, causing me to smile like an idiot.
'I love you too, stupid.', I mouthed back at him, and he looked kind of surprised, because ever since we started dating, I never said it back to him–
Well, we just started dating three days ago but still.
"Alright, kids! Watch your steps," Mrs. Lee reminded, as we get off the bus one by one.
It was my turn to get off the bus after Namjoon, but somehow I lost my balance when I was just about to step out of the bus, but Namjoon managed to grab my arm just in time, preventing me from falling flat on the ground.
I slowly looked up to him, as I muttered a low thanks to him, and he only looked at me in the eyes, before releasing his grip on my arm.
He walked off ahead without saying anything, as I just watched him getting further away from me.
"You're okay?", Yeonjun asked, looking at me worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm...fine,"
We found the camping site, as we set up the tent immediately, and luckily Ms. Lee told us to take a rest since we had a long journey.
I decided to walk around, and I found a river not too far from our camping site, and took a seat on top of a big rock.
I stared blankly at my reflection in the water, thinking about my relationship with Namjoon. We're not even enemies, neither do friends.
I'd be lying if I say it didn't upset me at all at the fact that we weren't like before anymore.
I am upset.
But I can't do anything except from hoping that someday Namjoon would accept me again. I really hope he will. Even if it means I need to wait for that to happen.
I'll wait.
"What are you doing here?"
I turned around to see Yeonjun walking up to me, greeting me with a peck on my right cheek, before sitting next to me.
"Nothing, I was just walking around."
"You seems off lately. What's wrong? You know I'm always here to hear you out. As your best friend, and also, as your boyfriend.", he said, holding my hand gently in his, giving me a soft smile.
"Yeonjun-ah,"
"Hm?"
"Do you really love me that much?"
Yeonjun looked at me in confusion, as he slightly chuckled, "W-why are you even asking me that question–I mean, is that even a question?"
"Of course I love you," he continued, smiling warmly at me. "Alright, let's just go back to our site. I brought your favourite chocolate," he said.
"Okay,"
Yeonjun stood up first, as he held out his hand, in which I put my hand in his, standing back up on my feet.
We stood in front of a tent, as Yeonjun told me to wait for him there while he went to get the chocolate he mentioned earlier.
I waited patiently for him, and that is when Namjoon came, stopping in front of the tent as soon as he noticed me standing beside the tent that he happened to be sharing with Yeonjun.
"Namjoon-ah,"
Namjoon stopped at his track, slowly looking up to me, "Yes?"
"Um, nothing. I forgot it already," I chuckled nervously, and left.
I don't know why everytime I look at Namjoon, I just feel like throwing myself at him, hugging him tightly in my arms, and that's when I want time to stop.
But that's just impossible, isn't it?
"Minnie-ah,"
I turned around to see Yeonjun jogging towards me, before handing me a chocolate, after unwrapping it for me.
"Here you go,"
"Thank you,"
He just gave me a sweet smile, before unwrapping his, and started eating the chocolate he specially brought for us.
Sure, having Choi Yeonjun as a boyfriend is more than enough already.
