A/N: This is a special chapter and connected to the next part of this book. Also, this chapter is no one's journal, only a plain novel, enjoy!
In the Chief's Office, Alyssa is on the way to the Chief's desk, then Chief Wright came from the door, wondering Alyssa's presence.
"Alyssa, what are you doing here, this early?" Arthur told Alyssa, skeptical because she's never been in to his office this early before.
"I have a question..." Alyssa replied, just grins at him. "What's in your satchel, Chief?"
"I can't tell you! It's...nothing to think about, detective!" he puts the paperwork to his desk, nervously.
" You can tell me your secret, sir. I'll tell my secret in return...soon."
"I can't!"
"Sige(Okay), Chief. I'll deduce for it instead." Alyssa take a closer look at the chief.
After a few minutes of inspecting on the Chief, Alyssa was about to hold the satchel but Arthur stopped her by putting down her hand.
"Stop it, Ms. Fernandez!" he shouted as keeping the satchel away from Alyssa.
"Well, I already know what's inside your satchel, anyway." she continued, gleaming with excitement. "It's your scrapbook right?"
"How did you know?" he was really skeptical that she already know about what's inside.
"In time...you'll know the truth."
"Uh...I don't understand, what truth?" Arthur was still skeptical, knowing that Alyssa never told her the truth about her real identity.
"The truth about my identity, sir."
The chief was really confused, and full of inconsistencies when he hears about Alyssa's remarks. He thinks on what the secret she was hiding from him and why did she keep it a secret.
"Never mind what I just said!" Alyssa told the Chief, obviously avoiding the conversation. Then she walked away from Arthur's desk. "Anyway, about your satchel, I know what's inside because...the way you are keeping it is so odd. It must be a personal belongings, a journal or scrapbook, perhaps."
"Why did you just said it was a scrapbook, Alyssa?" he obviously wants to know the truth about her identity, but he knew that this is not the right time to tell her.
"Because I think it is a scrapbook than a journal, Chief Wright."
After that, there was an awkward silence, both of them were thinking the same thing: about the young detective was hiding from the Flying Squad.
"Kuya Art, sorry about the awkward silence, earlier." Alyssa asked the Chief, walking towards to his desk again.
"Kuya?" Arthur replied, as he don't know the language she just spoke.
"It means brother in Filipino. You're older than me. In the Philippines, it is a sign of respect. I respect you, you know that!" she continue to speak, grinning at him. "Do you want me to call you 'Kuya'?"
"Actually, no." Arthur replied, glancing at her.
"I knew you could say that!"
"Anyway, I have to go. I promise I'll tell you about my identity, soon." Alyssa continued, as she walks away towards the door. "I have to go, Hasta pronto!"
As Alyssa leaves the office, Arthur still thinking about her secret identity. 'what could that be?', he thought.
