Chapter 7: Soiree Murder

Weeks later, at the "Grand Finale Party", Mr. Bontemps and I found Mr. Buchanan, stabbed dead at the pool. My partner was soaking wet and he's angry about it. After he changed, we investigate the murder. While in the investigation at the Rochester Mansion, Maddie came holding a glass of absinthe, drunk. I told her to get back to the Airship.

"W-what are you doing here, Maddie?!" I told her.

"Alyssa, I got bored on the airship, so I thought I'd give you a helping hand at this woooonderful soirée! "she replied. "Come, dance with me!"
"Madeline, I am unsure how much help you can be in your current state!" Mr. Bontemps added.
"Balderdash, Bontemps! You're simply jealous because you are a wallflower, while I am a... a rose in full bloom!" She replied. "A rose that's been watered by a chest full of absinthe I found in the billiards room! Now, Corporal, I'd better head off and mingle with the guests. Who knows what other delights, uh, I mean useful facts, I'll discover!"

Then, Maddie walks out the room. I am thinking about what she said a while ago which is she found the chest full of absinthe inside the billiards room.

"Alyssa, I apologize on Madeline's behalf... Absinthe really is her one weakness! I do hope she won't get into any trouble!" Mr. Bontemps told me with concern.

"Yes. Maddie mentioned about the billiards room, let us go there." I replied.
"You're right. Our billiards-loving killer must have gone there... Let's find the billiards room post-haste!"

After that, Mr. Bontemps and I saw Mr. Cunningham, talking to his brother and twin sister. I have never thought he's here! I approach him and told him what is he doing here.

"I'm investigating the Operation: Final Mystery." He answered.

"Doing operations again?! So, the "Final Mystery" is actually an operation!!" I replied.

"I have to do this for everyone!"

"Let us handle this, Señor!!"

"Okay, Galahad. Just...don't shout like that."

"Perdón, Señor."

"I have to go, Alyssa. See you later."

As Mr. C leaves, I have a bad feeling about him and I don't know why. Well, I have to continue the investigation.

As I leave inside, I know Alyssa was worried about me. Everything was dark which is strange because I knew that it has lights before. I've heard a noise coming from afar. After that, someone from behind stabbed me. As I saw the man leaving, I call someone for help, even my hand is full of my blood, not be able to see clearly..

"Hello?" I called.

"Sherlock, why are you calling? You are only outside." The man on the other line was Arthur, the chief of the Flying Squad. "Hello? Can you-"

"Go outside the Mansion....I'm being stabbed by someone."

"What?!" As he heard that, he screamed in surprise.
