A.M.R Fernandez Journal Entry#8
Finally, the World Exhibition is come to an end. That was a rough ride, really. This is only the beginning, we know. Now that we're finished, I have to do the mission as soon as possible. Sir Aldwin is coming tonight and it's a surprise for the Chief. Remember that he is the accused in the murder of Walter Alston, I lead the defense and declared not guilty. I was so grateful that I did it.
"I think he's almost here." I asked to myself. "Chief Wright will be happy to see his brother tonight! They've never met each other in 4 years."
"Good evening, Miss Fernandez." the voice is coming from the door.
"Sir Aldwin, it's so good to see you again!" I enthusiastically told him.
"Same to you! So, about Annie..."
"I know, Señor." I suddenly become serious. "We have to talk about that later. You're here to see the Chief, are you?"
"Yes. Where is he?"
"In his office."
"Come with me, Miss Fernandez."
"...Okay." 'why am I blushing?'
In the Chief's Office, I saw Chief, facing to the windows, looking at the sky. He still did not notice we came, until Sir Aldwin called him.
"Long time no see, Arthur." he broke the silence in the atmosphere.
"....Aldwin?" the Chief was really surprised to see his twin brother in front of him. "Corporal, did you take my brother here?"
"To be honest, yes, Jefe." I told him. "Sir Aldwin here is really excited to see you. He told me when I was in France."
"Last week?"
"Si, Señor! I think you should know this, he is accused of murder, that day." I told the young Chief, while holding the file about the previous case. "I was the one who lead the defense."
"You...What?!"
"I apologize that I did not tell you, Jefe. I'm really busy these days, I have no time to tell you."
"I see, I completely understand....Sergeant."
I was really surprised when he say 'Sergeant' instead of 'Corporal'! I was going to promote again...so soon? "I beg you're pardon, Chief?"
"You've heard right, Galahad. You've been promoted to Sergeant, you should celebrate!" Chief Wright gave me the warmest smile. "You deserved it!"
"You're right, brother, she is!" Sir Aldwin agreed to his brother. "You really are good at almost everything!"
"No, I'm not! Señor, Chief Wright, I'm just doing my job, and my mission, too." I'm blushing when I said that. "We have no time to celebrate, I have to finish my mission."
"You act like Sherlock tonight." The Chief added.
"He's my mentor, Sir."
"Sherlock Cunningham? He's in the trial back in France, right?" Sir Aldwin questioned.
"Yes, Sir Aldwin."
"Is he related to Irene?"
"Yes. He's her twin brother."
"Okay...I see the resemblance. But why is she in France?"
"She's back in Concordia now, Señor."
"Where?"
"She's currently acting as a maid for the Rochester Family."
"What?!" Both brothers stammered.
"What is wrong with that, gentlemen?"
"Is Irene rich?" The Chief questioned.
"I repeat, Ms. Cunningham is acting as a maid." Then I faced the door. "I have to go. You have to reunite with your brother, Chief. See you tomorrow!"
After that, I leave the Airship. I think I should rest and stop thinking about this for a while.
A.S Cunningham Journal Entry#9
I went to the Airship and I saw both Attorney Wright and Arthur, together."What a reunion you have there..." I told them.
Arthur glanced and said "You've ruin the mood, Sherlock!"
"Sorry!"
As I have expected, my twin sister came.
"Brother, did you take Aldwin here?" Questioned Irene.
"No, Alyssa is." I replied.
"I see..." she turned to face Aldwin. "It's been a long time."
"Not really, Irene. So, you're brother is a detective?" Aldwin responded.
"Yes, and I am an Agent." She smiled at the Chief. "I've heard that you promoted Alyssa, is that true, Mr. Wright?"
"Yes, she deserved it. I offer her to celebrate her promotion, but she declined." Arthur replied.
"That's normal to her, ignore it! She's really as humble as Sherly here."
"That's not true, Athena!" I said, almost shouted.
"See?"
"Anyway, I'll be out for weeks to preparing for my conference, in Italy."
"What?!" All of them were surprised when I say that.
"Yes, you've heard right, but I'm only out for 2 weeks. I'll help you with the case, after that." I grinned at them. "Irene, good luck with your mission with Alyssa."
"Okay..."
"Tell Alyssa that I told her 'Congratulations!'"
"I'll do, brother."
"I have to go, gentlemen. Farewell, until we meet again!"
I head out of the Flying Squad's Airship and came back to FPIA Headquarters, in the present. I'm preparing for my flight, tomorrow morning. I went to my office to pack up then I found my wife, Christie there.
"Arthur, don't leave!" she shouted.
"I have to, Christie. It's work." I replied.
"But..."
"Very well, you can come with me. Since I have an extra ticket." I'm holding two plane tickets."Herschel can't come with me because he's sick."
"I hope he'll be alright."
"Yes...You have to prepare, sweetie. The flight's tomorrow."
"Okay, okay. Thanks that you offered, darling."
"If you're happy with that, I'll grant it."
"That's so sweet of you."
"Thank you. I'm doing this because we did not meet everyday."
"You're right. I'll go prepare for tomorrow, and for the conference, too!"
I won't be able to come back for a while, but I know Alyssa will do the investigate, alone. I hope nothing will happen while I'm gone, and that Daniel will not get a chance to brainwash Alyssa again and ruin this timeline.
