It's been 5 weeks since the disastrous interview with Sharon. T'Challa and I were planning Zola's first birthday party. She was growing fast. It's crazy how she's already walking and growing teeth.

Everything was happening so fast. I wasn't ready for my little girl to grow up. T'Challa felt the same way.

"I know for a fact, she would want yellow decorations. Yellow is her favorite color." I said looking at the event planner.

I was looking at samples of decorations for her party. T'Challa was currently on a mission but he would be back in time.

"With all due respect Queen Udaku, because Princess Zola is a dark brown girl, I think that yellow wouldn't be a right choice for her." She said causing me to turn around.

We were in one of the many conference rooms in the palace. It was the perfect place to talk about birthday parties. I didn't have an office yet but hopefully I'll get one soon.

"Leave. Right now. How dare you say that to me about my daughter? Yellow looks good on her and every other skin tone. So therefore, please leave. I'll find someone else to plan this party." I said before walking to the door.

I watched as her facial expressions changed from shocked to confusion. I held the door open waiting for her to leave. She grabbed her things before walking out.

Hearing my phone ring, I answered. Hearing T'Challa's voice made me smile.

"Hi babe. We've got to find another event planner. She has the nerve to tell me that Zola's a dark skin girl and yellow wouldn't be right for her. Like how dare she? Anyways how's your day going?" I said in one breath.

He chuckled lightly. I flipped through some more samples of decorations.

"My day is good and I think we should have our mothers help us plan her party." He said.

"I agree. I'll send out a group text. I can't wait to see you, how far are you from home?" I said sitting down & putting him on speaker.

"I'm pulling into the driveway now. I see Zola's excited to see me. How about you?" He said as I watched Zola run to the front door.

"How about I show you later on tonight? Hmm?" I said.

"Sounds like a deal." He said before we hung up.

Zola was excited to see her father. She was truly a daddy's girl. I watched as she ran off again to go play with Rufus, the family dog.

"Hi baby daddy." I said smiling.

"Hi baby mama. You miss me?" He said hugging me.

"Yes." I said kissing him.

I could feel him smiling through the kiss. It was definitely going down tonight.

"Did you send a text to our mothers yet? I'm sure they'll be delighted to help out." He said sitting down.

"Yes I sent the text. We'll put up the decorations and etc tomorrow morning." I said looking at the book of decorations.

"Ok. My schedule is clear so I can help with anything you need." He said yawning.

"Ok." I said before placing a bookmark in the section of pretty yellow decorations.

Feeling his arms wrap around me, made me feel stress free. I laid my head against his chest. Letting out a yawn, I watched Zola run towards us.

"Baba! Mama!" She squealed as Rufus ran after her.

Smiling I bent down to grab her. She was nothing but giggles. Rufus barked and tried to jump to her.

"Play time is over you two. Let's get ready for nap time." I said before walking down the hallway.

I heard Rufus's dog tag jiggle as he followed me and Zola. Walking into her bedroom, I always felt nostalgic whenever I'm in here.

"Ready for a nap baby girl?" I asked as she yawned.

Smiling I laid her down in her bed and made sure she was set before walking out. Heading down the hallway, I felt as if someone was watching me.

Turning around, I didn't see anyone but I felt a presence. And it wasn't a good one, whoever was watching me had bad intentions. Rufus confirmed my suspicion when he stood in a stance and growled.

Shrugging the feeling off, I walked back to the conference room. T'Challa sat there with his eyes closed.  I decided to join him in a nap.

"Baby?" I asked.

"Hmm?" He replied.

"I felt like someone was watching me earlier and I got a bad vibe from it. But when I turned around, no one was there. I think I might be going crazy." I mumbled.

"You're not going crazy. I'll check it out tomorrow morning. I'm going to check the cameras and see what's going on?" He said before kissing my forehead.

"Ok." I mumbled.

I'm the back of my mind, I couldn't help but think about who was watching me. I felt confused and concerned for my family.
