It's been a few days since we've left home for vacation. I sat on the beach, watching as the waves crashed gently against the sand.

T'Challa was still asleep, so I knew it'd be a minute before he'd join me. He needed the rest more than anything. Lately we've been on edge and ready to snap but we didn't have a clue why.

I couldn't help but to think about the bad energy I sensed at the palace. I couldn't put my finger on who or what would want to hurt our family.

Hearing my phone ring, I smiled as I saw Zola's face pop up. Seeing her face made my heart swell and my nerves go away.

"Hi baby! You're being good for grandma? Mama and Baba miss you." I said smiling.

"Mama." She said looking at me.

Covering my mouth, shock was an understatement on what I was feeling right now. I couldn't help but smile.

"Oh my gosh!!! What did you say baby? Did you just say mama?" I said as tears covered my vision.

"Mama!! Mama!! Mama!!" She squeals happily.

"Did she just say her first words?" T'Challa said.

Looking up I saw T'Challa standing there. Tears blurred my vision and I could hear my hearts in my ears. All I could do was nod my head.

"Baba!! Baba!!!" Zola said excitedly.

"Hi pretty girl. Baba misses you. My gosh you're already speaking your first words." He said smiling hard.

"Your father would be proud. I believe that he's smiling on you right now." Queen Mother said.

"I know." He said.

I let him have the phone so they can have some time together. As I looked at the waves, I couldn't help but be thankful to Bast that I've made it this far. I was happy and I hope it stays that way.

"You ok love? You seem distant." He said.

"Hmm? Oh I'm fine baby, I'm just thinking that's all. I'm just deeply grateful for you and our family." I said leaning against him.

"I'm grateful for you too. I love you." He said kissing my forehead.

"I love you too. Can I ask you something?" I said looking up at him.

He looked worried but tried not to show it. I sat up so I could look him in the eyes.

"What happened to Erik? After you saved me, I didn't hear anything else about him." I said.

He looked like he was trying to decide on what to say. I honestly didn't blame him but I was curious.

"He's dead." He said looking at me with sad eyes.

"Baby are you sure he's dead? I'm not trying to question you or anything but I think that the bad feeling I had—"

The sound of his phone ringing caught our attention. I felt a bad feeling in my stomach but I tried to be optimistic.  I watched as he answered the call and saw how fear stretched across his face.

"Ok we're on our way." He said before hanging up and standing up fast.

Standing with him, I didn't question anything. We ran back to the hotel and started packing.

"What's going on baby? Is everything ok?" I asked.

"Erik is somehow alive and turning Wakanda upside down. We gotta go back home and fight." He said as I stood still.

It felt like time slowed down as I processed his words. I felt sick to my stomach knowing that the bad feeling I had was Erik's presence. Tears filled my eyes as I realized that our daughter and family members were at home escaping in fear of their lives.

"What are we going to do? How is this happening?" Was he alive the whole time? Did T'Challa even kill him? Or was he injured and somehow survived?"

Many thoughts were running through my mind as the room started spinning. My body felt like it was on fire (literally).

"Baby!!! Are you ok?? Reign please answer me. Come on baby you gotta calm down. Take deep breaths." He said.

I just wanted everything to stop and go back to normal. I could hear T'Challa trying to talk to me but he sounded far away.

I felt my body connect with the hard floor before everything went black.
