Cameras flash. People stare. We smile and the paparazzi are all over it. That’s what I wanted, kind of. Here, let me start from the beginning.

My name is Lauren. But I'm better known as Lulu, lead singer of CraZ LuV. But it wasn’t always that way. Once upon a time, I didn’t know what CraZ LuV was. I was just me. Normal, dorky Lauren. But all of that was about to change.

It all started on a Saturday. I was walking around the mall, you know, staring into my notebook, coming up with song lyrics. So I went up to the seats in front of the stage so I could concentrate without being scared of random people running me over. Then, over the loudspeaker, I heard

“Next we will have an acapella group perform. Please welcome Quadritz!!!”

Out walked four guys, Scott, Kyle, John, and Austin. Scott strolled out with his dirty blonde hair constantly falling over his green eyes. Then came Kyle, with his brown hair and hazel eyes, somewhat tripping over himself out of nervousness. John walked out casually cautious with his dark brown skin and smirky smile. Austin boldly took his spot but was taken aback by the large audience. He quickly gathered himself and started the song with a strong bass. John followed in smoothly with his equally low voice. Then Kyle stepped in with his mood-changing high voice. Combined, they worked to develop a mind-boggling arrangement that had both its highs and lows. Lastly, Scott stepped in. He delivered the lyrical aspect. He took lead in the song and completed it. As they continued “Wild Thing,” I got lost in thought. Soon, I found myself critiquing their work rather than just enjoying it. As I drifted away from reality, Quadritz finished their song. I was rudely awakened by the sharp shriek of the mic as it collided with the floor after being knocked down. I quickly gathered my things and stood up to go find my car and go home. I’d had enough daydreaming for one day. I started jotting down my critiques and disappeared into my own world again.  As fate would have it, I ran into someone. When we collided, all of my papers, my notebook, and my glasses went flying.

        “Sorry” I mumbled.

When I finally found my glasses and placed them in their rightful position, I could see who I’d run into. Of course, it was just my luck that I ran into Scott, the lead singer of Quadritz.

        “Hey, sorry.” He said.

“Oh no, it was my fault, I should’ve been paying attention.”

He lifted up one of my papers off the floor.

        “Do you write songs?”

“Yeah, well, sort of. A little.”

“Cool. Me and my acapella group have actually been looking for a new member.”

        “Quadritz, right?”

        “Yeah”

“Cool, but I don’t sing. I'm more backstage.”

        “Oh okay. See you around.”

        “Yeah”

“Hey wait. I don’t think I caught your name.”

        “Oh, yeah, I'm Lauren.”

        “Cool. I'm Scott.”

        “Well, nice to meet you.”
