I woke up the next morning and floated through my classes. I was really excited to find out more about Quadritz. Finally, the last bell rang and I bolted to Kyle’s house.

        “Hello everyone!”

        “Hey Lauren!”

“I think the best way to get to know everybody is a game called questions. How you play is each of us takes turn asking questions and everyone has to answer”

“Sounds good to me. Lauren, why don’t you go first?”

“Okay, umm. How old is everybody?”

        “18” replied Austin.

        “18” said John.

        “17” Scott said.

        “17” Kyle said.

        “Cool, I'm 17 too.”

        It went to Kyle next.

        “Where do you live?”

“Across the street, blue mailbox.” I said

        “Next door.” said Austin.

“Across the street, with the big ditch in my yard.” Scott replied.

“On the other side of Austin” said John

        “Here” Kyle said.

We went on like that for 4 hours. We could have gone longer, but my mom called. I slept great that night. I finally felt like I was part of the group. They weren’t Quadritz anymore. They were the guys.

The next day, I might as well have danced through school. I was walking on air. I was the first person out of school when the bell rang. I decided to call Scott.

        “Hey it’s Lauren.”

        “Hey. Wassup?”

        “Are we gonna meet today?”

“Considering the performance is tomorrow, definitely.”

“Do ya’ll wanna come over to my house this time?”

        “Sure”

        “Cool I’ll call everyone else.

        “Okay bye.”

I hung up and dialed John, Austin, and Kyle and told them. We practiced until almost midnight.

“Guys, I think we’ve nailed it.” I said.

        “Yeah, agreed.”

“Do ya’ll wanna carpool tomorrow?” Kyle asked.

“Sure. Sounds great. Who’s gonna drive?”I said

“I will, my jeep can easily hold 5.” John volunteered.

“Okay so we’ll meet at John’s house at what time?”

        “How about 10?”

        “Sounds good. See ya’ll then.”

We all got up and said good bye. Then, I went to bed, determined to get a good night’s rest. I wanted this performance to be perfect.
