The children whined as they stared out the large windows, mourning at the rain clouds blocking the sun.
Lucis sat alone in the corner, as he always did. The world began ignoring the boy, but he didn't mind.
He stared down at his paper before realizing a shadow was casted above him. He glanced up and tilted his head at who he saw.
"We need to talk." The familiar boy announced, a fake smile obvious.
Lucis stood up and followed Colton, unaware of the boy's intentions.
"You know, Jack put up quite a fight yesterday. He insisted I didn't touch you or mess with you. Why? I've bullied him and his friends before, and he's never put up a fight. But why did he when I came for you?"
Lucis maintained eye contact, and Colton was feeling more and more awkward, which was a new feeling for him. He felt as though the boy's dark eyes were peering into his soul.
"Why would you hurt your friend?" Lucis asked, taking Colton by surprise.
Colton stared at Lucis before smiling. "Because. It's fun."
Lucis shook his head, a sad look falling over his face, but he didn't say a word.
"You know, from the looks of it, you need your own friends. Wanna be mine?" Colton asked with a wicked grin.
Lucis looked at Colton, seemingly confused. "Your friend?" He repeated, a strange glint in his eyes.
Colton nodded, wondering how Lucis could be so gullible.
But his heart began to thump when Lucis began to blush.
"I-I'd like to be friends......"
Colton stared at Lucis, his mind a mess as he tried to remember why he was messing with him in the first place.
He quickly cleared his throat and smiled, putting up a front. "Well, then it's settled! We're friends!"
Lucis pursed his lips, hiding back an excited grin that was threatening to appear.
Lucis turned his back and waved a quick goodbye, unaware of the scheming thoughts running around in Colton's head.
It hit him once again once he remembered his objective. He smirked as he walked down the hallway, scheming.

Lucis lifted his head as he made eye contact with the teacher. "You need to participate in class more. I know you don't like talking very much, but you'll have to sooner or later."
Lucis silently nodded, making the teacher roll her eyes. "Just.... go."
Lucis turned around and left, an eerie feeling pulling at his stomach.
He glanced at the small children excitedly gathering together and held back threatening tears.
It was still too soon.
"Well, would you look at that. Our friend is coincidentally here!"
Lucis looked up at Colton who was leading the three other boys. Jack's eyes widened as he stared at Lucis, confusing him.
"Wanna join us?" Colton asked as he swung his arm around Lucis's small shoulders.
Lucis shrugged, unable to say anything as nervous tension built up in his stomach.
