Why did you keep your eyes shut?

Who knew the light in your eyes had faded,

No one knew the pain you hid,

Because you were to good at hiding behind the fake smiles.

You used to be so bright and social.

How could this happen to you?

Our hearts are heavy,

Our tears, they fall with no stopping.

There is no one to blame,

Don't blame yourself for how you felt.

I just wish you screamed for help.

You made a hard decision,

But we all feel is sadness.

I hold no anger, other than why you didn't ask for help?

There is always light at the end of the tunnel,

you just couldn't see it.

I know you are no longer in pain,

You are in a better place, where you wanted to be.

A place we didn't wish to see you in.

I just want to hear your jokes again,

And now that you are gone,

I only have the happy memories you left me.
